The Space

The open dining and living area is setup to have a comfortable place to work or relax. There's a separate communal work area with multiple desks.

3 bedrooms - 1 private and 2 shared rooms
2 full bathrooms

Guest Access

All utilities are included and the WIFI is fast!

Clean linens/bedding are provided + a fresh towel.

Why would someone say light cooking? Home prepped meals really warms up the house and it's encouraged.

Interaction with Guests

It's a house full of people & different schedules. So please use ear plugs if necessary. If you're a light sleeper or can't sleep on a single mattress, this may not be the right place for you.

We are a very communal/respectful group and strive to provide space for everyone to work and hangout. Remember that work, musical instruments and books take precedence over the television.

The Neighborhood

Daly City is a location that fits the budget and only an 8 minute walk to Bart! It only takes 20 minutes to downtown San Francisco.

Other Things to Note

More than one suitcase? Consult with me prior to making your reservation.

Respectful Housing for Women
Females in a separate room. If you'd like to stay in the girls' room, please check with me on availability before reserving. If you don't have a preference, then just make your reservation.

The Airbnb cleaning fee is to make sure you have a clean bed upon arrival and not to clean up after you. All spaces are shared, so please be mindful of picking up after yourself. If you're a longer term guest, remember to use one bath towel and wash it with your own load of laundry.

Check In
  • The HackerHome in Daily City was a really good experience for me. Fully furnished, you have everything that you need in the house, and the best thing is that everything works properly. There are things that can change according to who is living there, but when I was there everything was very clean and everybody was very respectful. If you don't mind to share your room with 4 or 6 people or if you don't really care to live in downtown San Francisco. This is a really good place to stay. You can also pay a little bit more to stay in the privet room. The house is relatively close to the Bart station (10 min walking) and 20 min by Bart to SF. You will be also close to some markets, but if you like shopping in a big supermarket as I like, it will take you 20 min walking to reach LUCKY Supermarket. I only left the house cause I really wanted to live in San Francisco, otherwise I would have stayed there.

About Vic. Nothing to say about him. He is simply a really good person. He ALWAYS answer your questions and he is always available to help you when you need something.

I hope it help you to take your decision.

  • Great place to stay. Never met Vic, but the folks I did meet were great in getting me situated and making me feel welcome. Made some great friends and got to know the surrounding area and the City a little better so kudos to Vic and Hacker House/Home!

  • Any kind of Hacker community needs a good promoter personality to help all the nerds break out of their shells and get to know each other. And this is exactly the kind of person that Vic is. I never attended any of his networking events, but everyone who went to them gives them rave reviews. And they brought the spirit home, where we had great conversations. Oh, and the accomadations are excellent. This was the kind of community I had been looking for in SF for the six months I was in the city.
