We are close to some of the most beautiful coastline in Hawai'i. There are many bays and beaches in which to snorkel/dive and you may get lucky enough to swim with the dolphins and turtles! During whale season you can enjoy watching their behavior from many of the close local areas. Don't forget a trip to the volcano and other places of interest here on Hawai'i. You can fill your days with many wonderful sites or spend it relaxing here on our little piece of paradise.
Parking is free on the property, however we strongly encourage a car rental as most attractions are not within comfortable walking distance. We do have a car rental available as well as airport pickup; please inquire if interested.
Because we are located in a tropical climate we encourage you to bring some mosquito repellent for your comfort. Also, the Hawaiian sun can be intense, so bring your favorite sun block to avoid a sunburn.

A friend and I were visiting the Big Island only for the weekend (I live on Oahu), and we were only on the west side of the island for one night. Staying with Coralie and Chris on Paliuli was the best decision... not only was our room and the farm itself perfect for an over night stay, but Coralie and Chris were such interesting, well-traveled, welcoming people! Staying on a farm, as opposed to a hotel, really added to our experience on the island. I'm planning on taking my niece to the Big Island in the next month or so, and will definitely be staying at Paliuli again. Thank you Coralie and Chris for everything :)
P.S. Is it kind of weird that our favorite part about our room was the semi-outdoor shower?
Our stay at Paliuli Farm was very enjoyable and comfortable, with room to move about and explore the tropical setting. The farm is in a great location to visit local beaches and snorkeling spots, and the hosts were friendly and helpful, pointing out places to go and things to see. The shared kitchen and bath areas were neat and tidy, and well organized. The kitchen is set up for travelers that want to do most of their own cooking, and the outdoor dining area has a great ocean view. Thanks Kris and Coralie, we had a great stay.
Our stay was short but pleasant. We loved the singing of the frogs and the peaceful night we spent here. The host was very friendly and gave us directions to some local spots we wouldn't want to miss. We would stay here again.
My stay far exceeded any expectations, and I had great expectations. It was totally relaxing, peaceful, welcoming, just what I needed. I will be back! Mahalo
Great place and great hosts.
We had a wonderful time staying at beautiful Paliuli Farm and really enjoyed chatting with Coralie and Chris. They were very welcoming and provided us with delicious fruit (we're still dreaming of their mangoes) and lots of great tips what to do. Thanks to them we got to swim and snorkel with dolphins - a fantastic experience! The room was pretty, allowing a gorgeous view into the green rainforest. So does the shared bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped and contains everything you need for cooking. Plus, the view from the lanai is just a dream come true. We can definitely recommend staying with Coralie and Chris. Thanks a lot! We would like to come back one day.
Our visit with Paliuli Farm was very enjoyable and convenient to the key attractions in that part of the island. Our hosts Coralie and Kris are very friendly, thoughtful, and generous. They even steered us towards 2 different local beaches we had not been to before and we enjoyed them both immensely. The accommodations (Plumeria Room) were down home Island style and quite comfortable. We also made good use of the screened kitchen and lanai which is shared with other guests. It was especially nice to be able to eat fresh fruit made available for us from the farm (seasonal of course). We are grateful to have met Coralie and Kris and look forward to future visits!
The farm is located around 20 mins south of Kona. It is fairly large and there are many trees, which means you get to eat some of the local fruits. We loved the morning papayas, bananas and passion fruits (lilikois)!
The hosts rent a couple of bungalow-style rooms on the farm. The bathroom is separate from the rooms - you have to walk a few steps outside to reach it from your room. The room was large and clean. You have to get used to living "in" the nature: you take your showers with the geckos; also the local frogs (coqui), which are widespread over the whole island, can be quite loud during the night. (they are noisier at other locations on the island). Nevertheless the bathroom was neat and clean. We also appreciated the washing machine that is available for guests to use. There is also snorkeling equipment that guests can borrow.
A kitchen is available and shared (with fridge space) and you can eat on the outside patio "lanai" with a view on the ocean. A beach where you can swim with dolphins is only 15 mins away (by car, which you will need) and the volcano park is around 1h45 away.
The owners were very kind and helpful. They told us where to find the beaches with dolphins and turtles and we really enjoyed that.
Overall we had a quiet, relaxing stay in some sort of Eden garden! We would definitely go there again.
We had an amazing time and are already talking about when we can return. The room was comfortable and was as listed, we were not looking for a resort room we wanted to live the island life and that is what we got. We enjoyed the outdoor feel of the shower and bathroom, while still being able to have the luxury of hot fresh water. I loved the little geckos and lizards that where waiting for me every morning when I brushed by teeth.
There was a great small market a couple of miles away and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. If you don't want to cook one night you can't go wrong with Jake's Big Island BBQ just up the road, the brisket is the best we have ever had and we try BBQ everywhere we travel.
It was also nice to have coolers and snorkel gear available to use when we needed it. The location can't be beat with two great beaches within a couple of miles from home. The painted church is a nice short 1/4 mile walk and worth the time to see.
Coralee and Kris are great hosts, offering us directions and ideas of activities. We stayed here for our anniversary and Coralee even greeted us that morning with a thoughtful card wishing us well. We are planning to stay in touch which them so that if they choose to move on to other areas of the world we can come stay with them there too!
Thank you for a great stay, we hope to see you again soon.
Mahalo Michelle! We loved having you and Jeff come to stay with us. We are so happy that you enjoyed your time here on the Big Island as well as here on the farm. It is nice to see others enjoy this tropical environment as much as we do! We wish you all the best and hope to see you again someday!!
Thank you Coralie and Kris for an amazing stay on your coffee farm!
Everything has been said in the other reviews. Coralie and Kris really love what they are doing and spoil the guests with lots of fresh fruits and a lot of tips what to visit and where to go. Staying on a coffe farm in Hawaii was really a great experience.
We loved the outdoor bathroom, kitchen and lanai where we had a great time talking with our hosts and the other guests.
The farm is conviently located to many of the Big Islands attractions and really close to the best snorkeling spots on the islands. Snorkeling with the dolphins there is just amazing! We would have loved to stay a few nights more!
