  • Dalia Rosenfeld was a warm, delightful, kind, cheerful, interesting, helpful and all-round a wonderful host.... and an excellent, consciencious chef (with gluten free goodies for me upon arrival). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying in the Ronsenfeld home. The house itself is beautiful, clean, charming and a convenient walk to the train station. The neighbourhood is quiet & the wyfi works. Thank you Dalia!

  • I came to Charlottesville for a work conference and was blessed to have found Dalia's listing! As a first time AirBnb user I was extremely nervous and had a ton of questions beforehand, but Dalia was so patient and responsive which helped to make me feel comfortable booking! Upon arrival, Dalia greeted me warmly and made me feel right at home! Over the course of my visit, she was super helpful and gave me a lot of advice about the area and was wonderful to get to know and talk with in my downtime! The location was so close to the downtown mall and UVA, which was perfect for me! Overall, I had a wonderful first experience with AirBnB and feel that I made a genuine friend in her! I HIGHLY recommend Dalia as a host and her house and a venue to stay in during your next visit to Charlottesville!

  • Dalia and her family are delightful. Dalia is a warm and welcoming host, with genuine interest in her guests and a remarkable ability to make anyone comfortable. It is important for any guest of Dalia and her family to realize that you instantly become a part of the family -- you are not segregated but rather right in the middle of a bustling body of family activity -- sharing a common shower, watching Dalia's oldest son make pancakes from scratch, meeting neighbors as they stop by for breakfast. It is a wonderfully informal, gentle experience!

  • Dalia was very friendly and made us feel at home in her family's home. We would definitely stay again if we find ourselves traveling in the vicinity again.

  • Dalia was such a kind host! She was so accommodating and friendly. Also, even though my parents an hour+ late for check in, she kindly waited for us and made herself available. She was always welcoming and invited my parents to use the kitchen and offered home baked goods as well. We had a great experience during my UVa graduation weekend :) Her son's gluten-free choco chip cookies were so delicious!

  • My stay at Dalia's house was great. They have a lovely home, and you feel like you have a cozy and comfy private space in the back. The neighborhood is very nice and close to the downtown mall making walking to everything very easy!
I would definetly recomend staying here and certainly would myself for my next visit to cville!

  • My fiance and I met Dalia at their adorable home so that we could pick up the keys to give to my son and his girlfriend, as they were the ones staying in her house. She was very welcoming and friendly and had a cute room for my son to stay in on the first floor near the kitchen. It's a very unique home and in a great location... Just one block to Main St. !!!!

  • The hosts were nice and welcoming but I have to say it was not what we expected and were a bit disappointed because the house was not as tidy as it looked in the pictures. The room and bathroom were small (which was ok), but the bed was missing sheets and the bathroom does not include a shower or tub. The bathroom that did have a shower was upstairs and had the owner's laundry on the floor. It was also relatively loud in the morning (which was a Sunday) as we were trying to sleep in. As stated above, the hosts did seem very nice (we did not have much interaction with them because we were there for one night to go to a wedding), however the overall experience was less than enjoyable.

    Response from Dalia:

Eek! My first negative review. Luckily, the bedsheets were all there, because I washed them afterwards (fitted sheet & duvet cover for the blanket--not sure what else you needed?), and by definition, a 1/2 bath does not include shower or tub. Mea culpa for the (CLEAN!) laundry on the floor in the upstairs bathroom--I should have put it away but got lazy. We were out of the house by 9am, but shared living necessarily involves some noise--I don't recall it was excessive? Anyway, I hope your future Airbnb accommodations are more to your liking.

About
I am a fiction writer and free-lance editor. We chose to live where we do--a short stroll to the downtown mall and UVA--because we like to put our legs to work, and--oh, I almost forgot--I never learned know how to drive! Maybe it's not too late...
