The Space

Enjoy the sun in Lisbon in a modern holiday apartment in a historical building with Internet WIFI.

Sleeps up to 3 people (or a couple with 2 small children) - one double room and sofa bed in the living room. Terrace for enjoying the sun in Lisbon.

Feel the comfort. You will stay in a personal atmosphere. Feel like at home in the heart of the historical center of Lisbon, boasting breathtaking views over the city and the Tagus river. The apartment is facing one of the most impressive historical buildings in Lisbon - the National Parliament - beautiful!

Guests really enjoy the atmosphere on the street. Explore this district - it's become the hottest spot for trendy Lisbon. You will be in “Principe Real” attractive neighbourhood. It remains essentially a residential district, filled with gardens, a couple of the city's most lovely squares, and colourful mansions - affordable good eats in this neighborhood.

People have their own ways of discovering a city. When I have friends visiting Lisbon, the first thing I do is sketch a map of my neighbourhood, so that my friends can find their way around and know the good places to visit. My favourite local restaurants and shops are included. I love more personal maps that show the cities as we see it ourselves.

Personal attention. This is a family business, so is in my interest to keep you happy. And of course I am always just a phone call away if you need to speak with me.

Laundry machine, Cooking stove, Oven, Microwave, Fridge freezer, Dish-washer machine, Bodum coffee maker, Toaster, Iron, Ironing board, Hairdryer, Vacuum cleaner, Portable heater, satelite TV. Bath and bed linen included. Internet WIFI.

Great apartment! Pedro thank you so much. Cozy, clean, perfect location - close to the center of Lisbon, but quieter. Good Neighbors, a colorful entrance. Large sun terrace. You can sunbathe in the morning or in the evening to watch the stars. The apartment has everything you need. From the window of the room amusing to watch the guards in front of the Assembly. Next to the supermarket where you can buy fresh fish and seafood. Lovely three weeks in a beautiful city!

  • A lovely flat - nicer than the pictures, I thought! - with wonderful views over the parliament (we enjoyed watching the guard soldiers, like the figures on swiss clocks changing uniforms with the hour and moving in and out of their glass rain-protection boxes) and a large terrace that really puts you into the heart of real Lisbon. You can walk to the Chiado and Barrio Alto, and plenty of delicious small restaurants, quickly. Despite its centrality, the area and the apartment are quite and peaceful - and I'm really sensitive to sound. It's snug, but well equipped and certainly big enough for a couple - and probably for a couple plus small child. The only worry I'd have about recommending it to everyone is that it can be a bit cold with only plug-in electric heaters for warmth; we were there in a rainy early April and whilst it was warm enough for us, being in our mid-twenties, I don't think my heat-loving mother would be as happy! As for Pedro - he was the perfect host from start to finish, providing detailed, thoughtful information way in advance of our stay - and swiftly answering our request for a recommendation (email hidden) mid-stay - and allowing us to leave our luggage in the apartment after check-out time.

  • The apartment was lovely, and it was exactly as it was described. It had everything we needed for our stay and more (even a dishwasher!). Pedro (email hidden) - he provided us with a lot of information about Lisbon before our stay (travel tips, food, places to see and eat), he arranged for us to check in a bit early, and he even booked us a taxi to the airport on the last day which was very helpful for our 7 am flight. It is located very close to 2 very nice restaurants (one that is good for breakfast/lunch and the other for dinner), and there are a number of small shops nearby. It was nice to stay in a area of the city that is not overrun by tourist shops!

There are only 3 things that I think are worth mentioning (none that would prevent me from staying here again, but that I think are important to know in advance).
    1) The apartment is up on the 5th floor, which could be difficult for some people, depending on your mobility. But if you are able to walk all the hills of Lisbon, then this shouldn't be a problem for you.
    2) You'll need a good map of the area before you get there. We only had a map from a tourist book, and the street wasn't on our map so we got quite lost on the first morning. Once we picked up a map from the tourist office, we were fine though! (This was really just poor planning on our behalf and not something negative about the apartment.)
    3) The shower is quite small (at least by North American standards). My husband and I are not very big people, and we found the shower a little small. If you are over 6 feet tall and have broad shoulders, you might have a hard time in the shower.

  • Had a nice stay in that fourth floor apartement with a marvellous view on parts of the city, even breakfast in the sun is possible on a roof terrace. Good connection to public transport and a stop of the famous electrico 28E is just a minute away. Pedro had a lot to do but even then time to answer my questions. Thanks.

  • Very nice apartment in a great part of town and with good access. Pedro (email hidden) and sent through lots of additional information ahead of our stay. I would thoroughly recommend this apartment

  • We had a lovely week at Pedro's. His appartment is very well situated, clean, great views and his welcome comments were all very useful and relevant. Lisbon is a beautiful city. We walked all over. His stairs might be a bit challenging for some although we are not young and had no problem!

Be my Guest! I was born and raised in Portugal and lived many years abroad in Germany (Ich kan sehr gut Deutsch sprechen), Sweden, France (Je parle très bien français) and England. I am an entrepreneur that loves Lisbon. I also love to travel to fun destinations, I work hard, I enjoy food and culture and I'm definitely an "Urban Nomad". I absolutely love Lisbon and am the biggest ambassador for it. I love to welcome people from all over the world to this great city so they can share the love that I have for it as well! Here are some good reasons to become my guest: Home away from Home. Simply move your home and family to another place. Adapting to another culture, language and a strange city becomes much easier when you feel at home right from the first moment. Open the windows, enjoy the fantastic views, watch TV, read on the sofa: do whatever you normally do at home, but in the wonderful city of Lisbon!
