A room in an old 1900's hilltop homestead, 360 views of nature, charming, one-of-a-kind place. Reconnect with nature, semi-secluded, visited by deer and turkey, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, thousands of fireflies, hundreds of praying mantes, beautiful star filled skies, nearby walking trails. Includes queen bedroom, private bathroom and living room with an extra fold-out bed, fenced yard, firepit, porch and pergola. Dogs welcome. This does not include a kitchen or whole entire house.
The space
This property is 1.6 acres with native grasses, fruit and nut trees. I'm working on reestablishing the habitat for native insects, like praying mantis, fireflies, bees.
The house was built in1902, refurbished in 2023.
The pottery is in the building out back. You are welcome to visit the pottery. I do offer private lessons, demonstrations and there is a small gift shop of my work.
You are welcome to use the pergola, porch, back yard, hammock, and fire pit.
Guest access
You are welcome to use the pergola, porch, back yard, hammock, and fire pit. There is no kitchen access, however you will have a coffee pot, mini frig, and microwave. A camp stove is available upon request.
During your stay
I live upstairs in the house and am often in my studio. Consider taking a pottery lesson while you are here or just stop in the studio to see the workings of a pottery studio.
Other things to note
Dogs are welcome, but please do not leave them alone in the house or back yard.
Shouldn't have to say this but LGBTQ friendly.
