About this listing
Enjoy a pleasant, private room/bath/entrance, in quiet neighborhood, less than a 5-10 minute stroll to downtown to nearby restaurants, bakeries, shopping, VT State House.
The room offers a comfy pillow-top double bed, sleeps 1-2, and comes with wifi, microwave, and apartment sized refrigerator.
The micro wave and apartment size refrigerator are not shared but are just outside the room in the hallway. Inside the room is a Kuerig coffee maker with Kuerig cups as well as an electric pot for hot water and a selection of teas.
Really lovely place. With its own attached bathroom, it reminded me of some of the B&Bs I've stayed at in Ireland. Jane was helpful without being intrusive and flexible despite an Air BnB glitch where messages didn't go through.
Jane hosted me and my girlfriend for a few nights while we were in New England. I can say, without a doubt, she is the best AirBnB host we've had the chance to stay with. She was very helpful in highlighting places for us to go, and her room is comfortable, clean, and welcoming. On top of that, Montpelier is a charming town with more amenities than a town of 7,800 ought to have. It's a fantastic place to visit if you're looking for a little R&R and don't want a loaded agenda. If you go to Vermont, do yourself a favor and stay with Jane.
Jane was a very gracious host pointing us out to all the things to do in the area. The room was immaculately clean and a great value. We look forward to our next stay in the area at Jane's!
Jane was very welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed, checking back with me later in the week. There was local milk in the small fridge outside the room, fresh fruit and as much coffee, right next to my bed, as I wanted. Small bouquets from the lovely gardens around the house decorated the bedroom and bathroom -- nice touch. Quiet, comfortable room, friendly hosts, convenient to downtown Montpelier, a good walk to VCFA where I was attending a conference.
The accommodations are like the hosts: friendly, comfortable, authentic and never too much. Wood floors, plenty of windows, updated bathroom. Easy walking distance to both downtown Montpelier and Vermont College of Fine Arts, with quiet location (and separate entrance) at the back of sprawling historic home. Highly recommended.
We had a wonderful stay at Jane's house ! Jane provided everything we needed ! The room was lovely, with more equipment than we were expecting ! Great !
Thank you Jane, we'd like to come back someday !
Hutch and Jane were very accommodating with our late arrival. The room is lovely, with a private bathroom, and they kindly provided snacks and coffee for the morning. We really wished we could have stayed longer! I'd definitely recommend this listing and I hope to return!
