Wake up to the sunrise & views over the valley & the Pacific Ocean in the comfort of the Bay Room in the Den. One of my favourite places!!

The Space

Get picked up in our fab all terrain vehicle and get taken on a jungle Safari to the top of the mountain half an hour from Byron Bay. 4WD access is required as it is a 3.6kms safari ride from the Car Park to reach the pinnacle of this most unique wilderness area.

Wake up to the Golden Sunrise over the vast ocean perched on top of a Mountain, at the end of a valley in a secret giant forest overlooking the majestic Pacific; is a place called "The Treehouse". The abode of peace & tranquility . . . .

Surrounded by a Rainforest Sanctuary & Nature Reserve, you have absolute privacy and one of the most extraordinary locations of the area. This is a (nature) lovers retreat with pristine walks into old growth forest or swimming in the sparkling secluded waterfalls . . . . so make sure you bring your walking shoes.

The Den is a (small &) cosy self- contained situation with Kitchenette & toilet facilities. It has a view that is absolutely breathtaking. Wireless broadband Internet is provided . .a much loved feature of the den is the outdoor shower where you can take in the breathtaking surrounds while you wash!! (An indoor shared bathroom is available)

A 4 wheel drive is necessary to reach the 'Treehouse' so all transport to & from the Lodge is provided, if need be. So if you intend to come to Byron to savour the cosmopolitan atmosphere, you should stay in Byron Bay town. This is both a lover's & NATURE LOVERS RETREAT.

It has been quite an achievement to build this over the last 3 years . . now focused on the garden - still plenty to do. Come and plant some herbs if you have a green thumb!

See you at the Treehouse!. An experience you'll never forget!

Guest Access

First of all being totally surrounded by the Nature Reserve you will have access to walks in old growth forest, walks to the waterfall & depending on your level of fitness a cornucopia of natures gifts. You will have exclusive use of the den, however, you will generally have the run of the garden & household.

Interaction with Guests

This is up to you. Most guest prefer to be left to their own devices, however if there is a dinner, or meal being prepared by one of our gourmet chefs you *may* be invited :)

The Neighborhood

The wonder & beauty of nature is an inspiration to all that come here. A little bliss bomb of nature together with views over the valley. The mighty Pacific Ocean is breathtaking & waking up to the first sun on this land is every morning persons ultimate start to the day. Don't worry if you want to sleep in there are curtains.

Getting around

A four wheel drive is necessary for you independence to & from the front. However once on the road you are close to beaches, supermarkets being no more that 15m drive. By arrangement we will be able to organise transport . . .

Other Things to Note

Please note that you have only exclusive use of the Den. The house lounge, the library & TV room if you choose to visit is a *shared* space.

  • The Den is the ultimate 'Room with a View'. It took us no time at all to settle into a couple of days of chill out family time. Our children are 9 and 12 and both of them fell in love with the chooks. We all loved walking to and swimming in the nearby waterfall. The accommodation is rustic and apart from an occasional waft of the septic tank, we all thoroughly enjoyed sitting by the window, playing games, read or simply enjoy the view. Robin and his support team are always to hand if you need anything - thank you Robin for creating a space for us all to enjoy!

  • I spent 2 nights in the treehouse on Robin's magical property. Set up the mountain, I had to leave my car down at the bottom of the driveway while Robin ferried me and my belongings up, as it is 4WD access only. The view is quite simply spectacular, and the pictures don't do it justice. It is a peaceful and harmonious place, great to escape the daily grind. The treehouse itself featured a queen sized bed (very possibly the most comfortable I have ever slept on), a toilet & sink, bay windows to sit in and admire the view while curling up with a book, and a kitchenette with gas cooker, fridge and microwave. Robin kindly supplied things like milk, eggs, bread and other essentials. There was also a tv & av set up for entertainment. I also had my small dog travelling with me, who Robin happily accommodated. There are a range of walks to go on, as well as a beautiful watering hole to swim in. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing nature experience!

  • Enjoyed our short time in this special place. Robin is a thoughtful unobtrusive host whose little touches are everywhere to make the stay more comfortable - from music, decorative plants, movies, to some provisions (in case you've forgotten). Hope to get back again

  • Robin was a friendly host and went out of his way to accomodate us. Unfortunately due to timing and some miscommunication (it was the silly season and Robin and his other guests were in party mode) we didn't experience the tranquil and quiet retreat we were hoping for and decided to leave after just one night. As we didn't stay long I cannot comment in detail on the property but can confirm the photos were an accurate representation and the view was breathtaking.
