The Space

Situated in Incline Village in a quiet cul de sac near Lake Tahoe, (one mile from the Hyatt and the lake) this cosy studio apartment has all the amenities you need for a perfect vacation.

Enjoy the the filtered lake view from the large, sunny wrap-around deck (you have exclusive use of it) or take a stroll on the many forest trails that lead directly from your front door.

Size of studio is 300 Sq.ft. (it's cosy and priced for the size it is)

We offer free use of a double kayak for frolicking in the water as well as beach chairs, etc. The nearest private beach is a mile away (we provide two beach passes worth $12 each for those). There are other lovely public beaches a little further away too. We're happy to help you get oriented and we'll tell you how to get to some of the lovely coves that are still not well-known.

We can also get discounted access to stand up paddles. Ask us for details.

And we have mountain bikes (with helmets) for you to borrow and enjoy exploring the trails right behind the house, or further afield.

We're happy to help you orient yourselves and discover some of Tahoe's hidden secrets. We can get you discounts at the local spa too, and can recommend the best restaurants for your budget.

And the large deck above the unit is all yours. You have exclusive use which includes BBQ, a teak table set with four chairs, plus two comfy rocking chairs so you can enjoy a rest while taking in the view (you can see glimpses of the lake from there)

Covered parking
Dish TV
Full bathroom

The apartment is just mile from the lake and a mile from Incline Village shops and restaurants. It's an easy mile walk to the Lake, Lone Eagle Grill (at Lake), Big Water Grill (fabulous view of Lake) Sierra Nevada College, Hyatt Spa, Recreation Center. And the famous Calneva resort is just 10 minutes drive away (setting for all sorts of delicious stories about Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe and gangsters). Lots to enjoy! Also now that summer's here there is live outdoor music at King's Beach (15 mins away) and Tahoe City (30 min away). We'll help you find out more about what's going on so you can have a fabulous stay!

We are animal lovers and welcome well-behaved furry guests. The apartment is at the end of a forest-surrounded a cul de sac and very safe - dogs can run off the lead. Very quiet too.

Ask us about weekly, and week-day discounts and special holiday pricing!!!

We're happy to advise you about local restaurants and activities. And some great hikes. Lots of great restaurants within a mile and a big Raley's too to get your supplies.

There's a bus stop within half a mile for TART (Tahoe Area Regional Transit) if you need public transport.

We have special prices also for massage/body work/spa treatments (on site massage also available on request). And we have introduced special classes on essential oils for those interested!!

And we also have some additional activities and packages for you with reduced pricing because of the relationship we've built with local businesses - including Earthgym training programs, personal retreats, and also our dear neighbor will show you how to custom-make moccasins and other leather creations and how to make a pine needle basket, Washo style.

  • We've spent 2 nights at the studio and had a great time. Rachel and Ben are fantastic hosts. They gave us plenty of recommendations for hikes and places to see, let us use the Kayak (really nice!) and gave us full access to the deck and BBQ, which is awesome. The studio itself is cosy, clean and perfect for 2 people considering the price. Our little dog enjoyed the place (and the trip on the kayak as well) as Rachel & Ben are very dog-friendly. They were absolutely respectful of our privacy but really responsive to our requests. Our fav moments: sunset at Hidden beach and Chimney beach, the trip on the kayak and the BBQ on the deck. We'd love to go back to Incline Village and stay at the studio again.

  • I stayed here for two nights with my two little dogs and we had a great time! We only really had one day to enjoy Lake Tahoe, but Rachel & Benjamin gave me some great advice on where to go that was dog friendly. The apartment itself was wonderfully cool after a hot day out hiking. The kitchen is great and made we wish we were staying longer - you could stay there for quite a while without having to eat out every meal! The wraparound deck was fantastic and also totally enclosed, so I could let my dogs off their leashes and they could run around without running out into the woods or after the neighbor's dog. We had a great time, I want to come back eventually with more time to spend there!

    Response from Rachel (And Benjamin):

Thanks for the feedback. Most people seem to love the bed so I guess it comes down to personal taste. But we would certainly be happy to add a mattress topper for your stay if you came back! :-)

  • Staying at Rachel and Benjamin's apartment was perfect for us! We only had a day and a half to enjoy all of the Lake Tahoe area, but Incline Village and their neighborhood was nice to come back to after a busy day. Benjamin greeted us as we arrived and was very welcoming, even with our nosy and too-friendly dog. I got the feeling that all the neighbors here know each other and get along well. Benjamin showed us the apartment and deck, then took us on a walk on the trails up the hill behind their house. He encouraged us to let our dog run free and play with the neighbor's dog that he was taking care of during the day. Although we didn't make time to use the kayak or the mountain bikes, he gave us directions to the trail and said he could make arrangements for the kayak to be used. He gave suggestions for dog friendly hikes and beaches, and we did explore Hidden Beach, which was deserted! The space was cute and cozy, and we cooked a dinner and two breakfasts in the small kitchen. The bed was comfortable, and we were glad for the heaters, as it was 28 degrees (in June!) when we woke up. I wish we had made time to explore the trails behind the house some more, but we packed in a lot already!

  • Great stay! Location couldn't have been better. Benjamin gave us so many tips and recommendations that made our trip great. Benjamin even woke up early with us one morning to show where the kayak was and how to use it. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay! Thanks Benjamin and Rachel!

  • Rachel and Benjamin have a lovely clean and cosy apartment which was perfect for our stay at Lake Tahoe. There is also a large space on their deck where we were able to use their BBQ and sit outside with lots of space. Great location, just a minute's drive from several different beaches and walks to go and explore. Rachel and Benjamin were both fantastic hosts, really taking their time to ensure we were comfortable and make recommendations of the best places to visit in the area. They were always reachable by phone and happy for us to knock on their door with any questions, and also took the time to help with directions to our next destinations. Would definitely recommend!

  • We only had one day at Rachels and Benjamin place but enjoyed it so much. The room was nice but much better the deck over it. Had a nice BBQ there. There is a big grill. Rachel was so helpfull with everything and always available via text message on cell. We regret that our stay didn't last longer. The lake area is so beautiful and has so much to offer. We definitly recommend Rachels place.
