The unit was very clean exactly as pictured. The building is extremely quiet so it makes you a little nervous when you are coming and going throughout the day. The neighbors that I did encounter during my stay were very pleasant so there were no issues there.
The unit was has all of the basic necessities that you would need and the beds are comfortable.
The building itself is a older building. I would strongly suggest not having a car. All of the parking on all of the streets is by permit only. There is a parking garage about 4 blocks away but again for a single lady to be walking that far at night is not suggested at all. I encountered a few unsavory characters as the building is located directly in front of the park.
Outside of that, the location was close to everything. I was very pleased as this was my first time using this website. If you are going to South Beach and just want the added security of a personal space than this is it.
great location...10 minutes walk from everything...beach, Lincoln mall, espagnola drive....
not a fancy building but the apartment is simple, clean and very quiet. I will stay again.
Svetlana was a great host and the property was exactly as described. Her apartment was perfect for our family of 5. The living room was large and comfortable with all the essentials one would need. The location was also perfect - not to far from the beach and yet in a quiet neighborhood. Being right across Flamingo park was a big perk. We'll definitely be looking to stay here again!
Great location. Within walking distance to everything. Has all necessary amenities. Great communicators. Easy to deal with.
I had a great time here. I never met the host but I met her husband. The cleanliness is acceptable, good amount of space, and an in wall A/C regulates the temperature well. If you're staying in the bedroom and you want the door closed, air circulation goes down a bit, but they have a fan that seems to handle that.
The only gripe is that when we checked in the only trash can was a small bathroom trashcan in the bathroom. They brought and extra can upon request within a day for the kitchen, but it was the same size. I would prefer to have a full sized kitchen trash can.
The furniture is in generally good condition, acceptable for being an airbnb frequent occupied unit. No gross stains, and all the linen appeared clean. Two of the kitchen chairs were in poor condition, one was bad enough (missing a piece of wood on the bottom) we didn't feel safe sitting on it, but then again we didn't really need that chair anyways.
Previous tennants had left salt, pepper, shampoo, conditioner and sunscreen. It was very convenient to have all these available and not need to purchase them. There were no provided paper towels, or dish soap, and there was toiletpaper, poor to mediocre quality.
Bathroom towels and linen were good quality and provided for free.
The neighborhood was very safe and close to shopping, the beach, nightlife and restaurants.
Overall we were very happy with the place and would rent there again.
The host was accessible and the apartment was fine but the entrance and the elevator spelled really bad which made me sneeze constantly. When I told her what the problem was , she then asked me if I wanted to be moved to a different apartment or be refine burden. Since it was a short notice , I then decided to be moved to the other apartment. It was a nice apartment as well in a better location closed to all the major shops , restaurants and nightclubs but the next day unfortunately the A/C broke down even though I told the host early in the morning , they never came to repair citing the building maintenance couldn't fix it until Monday when I had told her on Thursday at 9am. I needed to stay for one more day and asked her but she wanted to charge me more than I was paying and didn't have the courtesy of a discount. Locally it was quite cool at night but wasn't able to open the windows because of a lot of noise and there was no sheets so I was forced to use a comforter which made me hot, sweaty and unbearable.
