The space

This is the perfect place to stay when visiting Providence. It has a separate, private entrance to a gorgeous and just-renovated sub-level bedroom and bathroom in a beautiful, safe, historic, well-located house, 0.8 mile/15-min walk from Brown/RISD, in the heart of Wayland Square, on the East Side of Providence, RI—the best neighborhood in the city. 13 restaurants, three coffee houses, shops, drug store, bike path, public transportation, Zip car rental . . . just 2 blocks away!

The room is 425 sq. ft. and features 4 windows that give lots of natural light. Key-less digital locks allow you to come and go as you please. Included is parking for one, FIOS wireless internet, cotton linens and towels, fresh toiletries and soaps, hair dryer, microwave, refrigerator, electric kettle and Keurig coffee maker. Room is also furnished with a dresser, couch, and coffee table, and everything is always exceptionally clean. Air-conditioning and heat are terrific and controlled by guest.

Don't settle for dirty Airbnb's when you can have better than hotel-quality right here. Owners live on the premises and are available when needed. We look forward to your visit!

Please note: there is one cat in the house, although your room is private and closed off from the main house and the cat does not have access to your room.

Guest access

The apartment is pretty self sufficient, although I am happy to provide whatever else you may need. While there is no kitchen, there is a microwave, refrigerator, electric water boiler, and Keurig coffee maker

Interaction with guests

I try to keep interaction to a minimum, for your benefit, of course, so that you feel comfortable and private, and so that you have time to explore the city. I am happy, however, to provide any information on the city and its resources that I can offer, and I love interacting with guests if they would like to

Other things to note

If you like to run, bike, and/or take beautiful walks, we have an incredible path less than a block away. We're also two blocks from the river and some trails in the woods. Two blocks in the other direction takes you into a nice business district with stores and restaurants.

Adam's place was private, clean, and had everything we needed for our brief visit to Providence. His and Phoebe's place is close to shops, restaurants, and public transit. I would definitely stay there again!

There's a reason Adam's place has so many great reviews- all true. Adam was a very thoughtful host and the room is a great, quiet and clean place. The neighborhood is a lovely and safe place to walk. I really appreciated the little extras- micro, fridge, keurig and some healthy snacks.

Adam's place was great. Clean, comfortable, and in a great neighborhood, walking distance to Wayland Square. The mini fridge was a bonus for storing the probiotic gut shots we got at the local farmers market!

Originally from New Jersey, but Providence has been my wonderful home for 10 years. I moved here to take a position as a professor at a local university, and I never plan to leave! Since my wife, Phoebe, and I know Providence and Rhode Island very well, we would be happy to introduce you to the many wonderful things this city and state have to offer, including exceptional restaurants, exciting entertainment, beautiful beaches, state parks, and historic tourist attractions.
