  • Adam was a great host --- went out of his way to make logistics for check-in extremely easy and knew when to be present. The room was as described and hotel-clean. He even left out a basket of small snacks and replenished them throughout the stay. The only downside to the room was that it is in a basement and does not get much natural light --- however, if you're out and about during the day this would present no issues.

    5/5 stay; would return!

  • I stayed with Adam (and Phoebe) for an entire week and I liked their place a lot. The basement studio is absolutely clean and tidy. Adam is very careful about tiny details, and it shows: he cares about having walking maps and restaurant guides available in the guest room, there are plenty of small snacks, oatmeal, coffee, "mini-bar", ... The bathroom is very nicely set-up with big and small shampoos and soap, towels are professionally wrapped, and so on....

Adam's place is less than a mile from Brown campus center; and RISD / ICERM is less than two miles towards downtown. Absolutely walkable, even in snowy winter; Otherwise, around the corner at Wayland square, one can get a coffee at Starbucks and wait for a bus through campus and downtown (roughly every 15-20 minutes, $2 a ride).

    Would stay there again!

  • Adam's place was so amazing, that we decided to stay another night at the end of our trip. Please stay at Adam's when you're in Providence.

  • Adam's apartment was amazing and so comfortable. We arrived late due to the airline, but Adam waited up late for us to make sure we got to his house safely!

The apartment was stocked with a kettle, tea, bottled water, and snacks. That was such a great surprise, and made us feel right at home. The apartment is super close to great coffee shops and restaurants, and a beautiful park.

  • I loved this basement room, which looks exactly like the photo. It was a warm, cosy and comfortable home for my stay in Providence. With the fridge, microwave and kettle I was quite self sufficient for meals and the washer and drier were very convenient. The bed is very comfy, the bathroom is spacious and the whole place is very clean. I enjoyed the 25 minute walk to Brown - a younger, fitter person could do it much quicker. Adam and Phoebe are thoughtful, kind and flexible hosts. I look forward to a future stay.

  • This was my first Airbnb experience and it was amazing! My boyfriend and I stayed in the private basement apartment during Veterans Day weekend. We had a fantastic time even though we did not spend a lot of time in the room. Though not part of the plan, Adam & Phoebe generously picked us up from downtown when we arrived. It was very nice of them indeed! Adam gave great suggestions for places to eat and to visit (i.e. Blackstone Boulevard Path, but we sadly didn’t get a chance to walk around there). Nearby, Wayland Sq. is cute and nice. Pictures of the basement room look exactly as it is presented online (I have to say that because I am among the skeptics who heavily depend on the good reviews of others before making a decision). The room is immaculate & includes toiletries, towels, snacks, tea/water/soda, electric kettle, microwave, adjustable heat, wifi, no TV (we didn't need it). We didn’t need to use the kitchen upstairs, but glad to know it was accessible for our use. The digital lock is safe and secure. Adam’s place is conveniently walking distance from Brown & RISD, and about 1.5 miles from downtown Providence. Nice, safe neighborhood. We felt so comfortable and at home. We would stay here again in our next visit. Thanks Adam!

  • Wow, what a great place and super nice host. Adam was quite flexible to meet us to check in and teach us about the place, and had great suggestions on eating. The downstairs room was even better than the picture shows it. It has everything one needs for a night's stay. We didn't get much time to spend at our room, but when we were there it was perfect. We did walk around the neighborhood, and it was quite safe, and the houses quite nice. A walk to Wayland square is a pleasant excursion to see and enjoy the neighborhood.

  • We were headed out for a sore needed getaway and were planning as we went. We e-mailed from the car and Adam called us immediately. In less than 2 hours we were settled in a beautiful room with private bath and walked to a delicious and relaxing dinner. Adam and Phoebe were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room and bath were clean and comfortable and in a beautiful part of Providence.

  • Adam was a great host. He communicated clearly and promptly and make sure I had everything I needed.

The room was very clean and fresh looking. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was new and clean. Adam included some teas, treats and toiletries which was a nice touch.

The house is located in a nice quiet neighborhood and is about a 2-3minute walk from a number of shops including Starbucks, an independent coffee shop, a CVS and a Sushi/Thai restaurant that was affordable and very good.

It is about 20 minutes walking from RSDI and about 10 from Brown. I was walking to RSDI each day which forced me to actually do some exercise ;)

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this room.
