Little Place is your own little place in town, an urban pied-à-terre with everything you need to make yourself at home away from home. 10-minute walk to downtown, walking distance to UVM, lake, bike path. Electric Car Level 2-J1772 charging available on site.

The space

People-watch from the new rooftop deck. (See Little Place 2 if this listing is booked -- also with its own deck -- my temporary amateur pics don't do it justice. Or rent both and meet on this middle deck.) A 10-minute walk to downtown, this apartment is an urban pied-a-terre with everything you need to be at home away from home. Located in Burlington's vibrant Old North End, it's two doors away from the neighborhood gathering place/coffee shop, Barrio Bakery (they have delicious vegan baked goods, too, and dine-in pizza Wednesday through Saturday evenings). Half a block north is Butch & Babe's restaurant, and Central Market (Asian) with fresh produce as well as great takeout, and in the other direction there's Drifter's Cafe and a take-out Sushi spot. Walking distance to the waterfront and bike paths, the University of Vermont, and UVM Medical Center. 45-minute drive to Stowe. Private entrance, queen bed, equipped kitchen, bath with shower (no tub), off-street parking, WiFi, AC, hairdryer, couch clicks flat for a third guest. Coffee, tea, milk, juice, organic granola provided. Smoke-free. This apartment faces the street — if you need a quieter environment, you might prefer Little Place 2 (too!) — — located at the back of the house.

Posted price includes cleaning fee. Single-night reservations or a third guest is an additional $20 — please message me so I may send a special offer with the correct rate. During summer and foliage season, single-night reservations on the weekends will be accepted on a case-by-case basis. The apartment is the top floor front of my triplex.

Guest access

Guests are welcome to enjoy the backyard but their own deck is more private and less buggy. They have an assigned parking space at the front right-hand side of the driveway.

Interaction with guests

I like to meet my guests when they arrive or soon after (I work part time away from home) and orient them to the apartment and the local amenities. I'm a knock on the door away if I'm home or available by cell phone if I'm not. I respect the guests' privacy although I'm always happy to run into them in passing and hear about their adventures.

Stylish space in a charming older home. Well worth the money and local to church street. Linda was helpful and made many suggestions on local spots to check out.

The Little Guest House is as cute and quaint as the pictures and description indicated. Its beautifully and meticulously appointed, clean, super comfortable and very conveniently located to Church St., lakefront and colleges. Linda provided fresh, local OJ & Milk and organic granola. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again.

Hard not to use hyperbole to describe this space. It really is beautifully done, all one needs, and in a great location for Burlington. I even took pictures to inspire myself for future decorating projects! Comfy bed, fluffy towels and lovely shampoo and Almond Castille soap in the shower. And that bakery two-doors down... yup, I'd like to live there, if i could :). Thanks, Linda, for a lovely stay.

Linda's place is located close enough to downtown that you can walk. Her neighborhood has great restaurants we wouldn't have found unless we stayed there. She had good recommendations too and advice. Her place is also extremely clean and impeccably decorated. I would highly recommend this listing.

Linda's Little Place Guest House is charming, comfortable, simply and perfectly appointed, for me it was the perfect pied a terre for traveling to Burlington for a couple of days work, a quiet place to retreat. The neighborhood has laid back character, friendly, with small local restaurants and a café bakery with outdoor seating. It is walking distance to the center of town.
