About this listing
This amazing split-level flat boasts magnificent views of Bushy Park's splendid landscape and wildlife as well as offering fantastic contemporary living space within easy reach of central London.
There is a double and single room available, both share the same bathroom.
(If a third bedroom is required I can set up a double airbed in the study, it is comfortable but a bit of a squeeze because the airbed is large).
For those that are looking for something a bit different Hampton Court offers a view of London that is as unique as it is beautiful.
The property is a neighbour of Hampton Court Palace with its unique architecture, beautiful gardens and historic heritage.
Hampton Court Palace hosts an annual food festival in May, a music festival in June and the renowned flower show in July.
The property and double room overlook Bushy Park, which is the second largest of the capital's eight Royal Parks and boasts a mixture of woods, gardens, ponds and grassland making it a fantastic place to enjoy wildlife with roaming herds of Red and Fallow Deer.
Being a stone's throw from the river there are a number of boat trips available.
Central London is just 35 minutes by train with a direct line into London's Waterloo station.
For those that enjoy horse racing there are Sandown Park and Kempton Park just a short drive away, Epsom, that hosts the world famous Derby is 30 minutes by car.
Hampton Court also has an open air heated outdoor pool that is open all year, including Christmas Day.
Either a two minute bus ride or a thirty minute walk through the park you will find Kingston upon Thames that boasts a major shopping centre and the Rose Theatre.
For those that enjoy tennis it is quick and simple to take the train to Wimbledon where special buses are laid on to whisk you to the tournament. Staying a little outside Wimbledon has its advantages when it comes to the evening where during the tennis eating and drinking in Wimbledon can get very crowded and expensive.
Two of London's airports are within easy reach, Gatwick 35 minutes by car or an hour by train, Heathrow is 20 minutes by car or a little longer by the bus that stops more or less opposite the property.
As a guest you will have access to your private room and are welcome to relax in the lounge and if you want prepare your own food in the kitchen.
Interaction with Guests
I enjoy meeting people but appreciate that some people just want a place to stay. Those that just want their own space are welcome just as much as those that like a good chat and some company.
The property overlooks Bushy Park which is London's second largest Royal Park. Within the park are two garden areas that are absolutely stunning especially May and June.
In the other direction is Hampton Court Palace, a major tourist destination and Home park and there is also a delightful walk alongside the palace and the river down to Kingston-upon-Thames.
There is also the walk along the river away from Kingston-upon-Thames that will eventually arrive at the Weir riverside pub.
Kingston-upon-Thames is a twenty minute walk or a five minute bus journey and is a main shopping centre for the area.
There are bus stops in both direction just outside the property and Hampton Court train station which is just over a five minute walk.
Vehicle parking is very hit and miss and is currently chargeable seven days a week between 8.30am to 6.30pm including public holidays.
Great location, walking distance from all the restaurants, bars and the palace and yet looking over the tranquil beautiful park. Martin was very welcoming and greeted us with a cup of tea and then we chatted for ages. Very interesting man with his own experiences but a great listener too!
Martin is a friendly and welcoming host. He made us a cup of tea on arrival and is interested in travellers experiences being a traveller himself. The room is in a wonderful location and looks out on to Bushy Park. We saw deer from our window in the morning. It is a stones throw from Hampton Court Palace and is the ideal place to stay if you want to visit this site. There is a traditional english pub across the road. and the Hampton Court Maze is about 200metres away. We enjoyed having conversations with Martin. He made our time in Hampton Court memorable and enjoyable. Highly recommended.

As someone who has done a fair bit of travelling I enjoy meeting new people. I know from my own experiences how much better it is when you have a comfortable place to base yourself.
Looking forward to welcoming people to one of the world's greatest cities, where there is something for everyone.
