Escape to You and Yours, a secluded 20-acre Perkinston retreat. Wake up in a master suite overlooking a misty emerald forest before visiting the front fields to meet our horses, Misty and Midnight. Witness the artistry of our Border Collies and meet King and Gabe, our loyal livestock guardian dogs. Nestled between New Orleans and Mobile, we offer the perfect balance of rural peace and coastal access. Reconnect with nature and each other at our working sheep farm—your private Southern sanctuary.
The space
Reconnect with the rhythm of the land at You and Yours, a working sheep farm tucked into 20 private acres of Perkinston piney woods.
Designed for couples seeking an authentic, unplugged escape, our retreat offers the rare luxury of a "Dark Sky" haven. The Milky Way becomes your nightly ceiling, best enjoyed from the private fire pit with a glass of wine.
The crown jewel of your stay is the master suite, where your queen-sized bed overlooks an emerald expanse of Mississippi forest. Wake to the soft rising mist over the timberline—no streetlights or traffic, just the raw beauty of the deep South.
A Living, Rugged Landscape
This is a sophisticated, working landscape managed by a host with over 20 years of sheepdog training experience. In our front fields, you will find our horses, Misty and Midnight, grazing against the sunrise. Protecting the flock are King and Gabe, our livestock guardian dogs.
Embrace the sensory immersion of the farm: the scent of wild pine and fresh hay, the rugged 1,000-foot forest drive (high-clearance vehicles recommended), and the vocal, rhythmic barking of King and Gabe as they ward off forest predators.
This is a place where the sounds of nature and the working farm take center stage. To maintain the sanctuary’s peace and the safety of our animals, we are a strictly pet-free retreat.
Select Weekend Heritage Encounters
For guests seeking a deeper connection to the land, select weekends offer an exclusive look at the art of sheepdog training. Witness a live training session with our border collies, witnessing the incredible precision and "eye" required to move a flock—a heritage skill honed over two decades of professional experience.

Guest Access & Your Farmhouse Experience
Private Farmhouse Suite & Arrival
Guests enjoy a fully private Farm Suite with a dedicated entrance at the back of the farmhouse. Upon arrival at the property, please park on the right side of the carport and follow the path to the rear of the farmhouse to access your smart-lock entry.
Outdoor Amenities
You are welcome to use the fire pit located in front of the BBQ shed (please note the BBQ shed itself is currently not available). It is the perfect spot to enjoy the 20-acre forest view as the sun sets over the Mississippi pines.
The Guardian Dogs: King & Gabe
As a working farm, we have two dedicated Livestock Guardian Dogs, King and Gabe. They wander the property freely to protect the flock from predators. While they are a vital part of our farm's security, they are best ignored. They are professional working dogs, not pets; please do not attempt to call, pet, or engage with them. You may hear them barking at night—this is simply them doing their job to keep the farm and the farmhouse safe.
Interacting with Misty, Midnight, and the Flock
You are welcome to observe our horses, Misty and Midnight, and the sheep from outside their enclosures.
Safe Feeding: We provide specific, animal-safe feed. You may place this provided feed directly into the buckets for the horses and sheep from over the fence.
No Outside Food: For the health of our animals, no outside food, treats, or table scraps are to be given to any of the livestock or dogs.
During your stay
As your host, I am typically on-site and active on the property, but I respect your privacy and leave you to enjoy the serenity of the farmhouse suite. I am always available via the Airbnb app if you have questions or need assistance during your stay.
While you are welcome to observe the animals from the fence line at any time, my specialized animal encounters are reserved for select weekends.
On these days, I offer a unique glimpse into the world of working sheepdogs and equine care:
Sheepdog Training Demonstrations: Available on weekends only, you can watch a live session where I work with my border collies.
With over twenty years of experience and training in Wales, I’ll show you the commands and instincts used to move our flock.
Horse Encounters: Join me by the front field on weekends to meet Misty and Midnight up close. While you can feed them from the buckets at any time, the weekend sessions allow for a more structured introduction to these gentle animals.
Please note that these interactive sessions are weather-dependent and scheduled specifically for weekend guests.
If you are visiting during the week, you will still have a front-row seat to the farm's natural rhythm from the comfort of your private suite.

Other things to note
A True Working Farm Experience
Ewe and Yours is a rugged, authentic farm, not a manicured suburban park. To fully enjoy your stay, please embrace the following:
Farm Sounds & Smells: As a working sheep farm, you will experience the natural scents of livestock and the sounds of country life. This includes the vocal presence of King and Gabe, our livestock guardian dogs, who bark to protect the flock from predators—especially at night.
The Landscape: The terrain is beautiful but rugged. The road is unpaved, and the fields may be muddy or uneven. We recommend bringing sturdy outdoor footwear.
Local Wildlife: Being tucked into the forest means you may encounter Mississippi wildlife, from deer and hawks to local insects and critters.
Best for Couples (No Pets): To ensure the safety of our working Border Collies, horses Misty and Midnight, and our livestock guardian dogs, we maintain a no-pet policy.
King and Gabe are highly protective of their territory, and our resident animals are the only stars of the show here.
