About this listing
Private modern "green" studio in recently rehabbed tavern in the best neighborhood in Chicago. Steps to Damen Blue line which takes you to the airport or downtown. Easy access to dozens of restaurants, bars and boutique shopping right out your door.
Private entrance to a recently rehabbed studio apartment, inside a single family home that is LEED certified. What does that mean you ask? Our home has "gone green" and is equipped with solar panels, wind turbines, and a geothermal heating and cooling system. The studio is equipped with a full kitchen with 2 ovens, stove, ice maker, dishwasher, and a small fridge. Private bath with tiled walk in shower and stocked with toiletries (the fun mini ones). Cabinets have all necessary dishes, and cookware. Our favorite amenity is a fridge loaded up with beer, wine and water for your enjoyment!
Guests will only have access to the studio during their stay.
Interaction with Guests
We will be present in the house- but you won't have access to us, and we won't have access to you. We will interact when asked- but the only planned interaction is to exchange keys. We are both born and raised Chicagoans and are happy to provide any advice/recommendations.
We love our neighborhood as we are steps from fabulous food, coffee, booze, and shopping! When you arrive, we will have a list of some of our favorites. We are also a quick train ride downtown and bus ride to the lake front. In addition, there is free street parking in most of the neighborhood.
Other Things to Note
Although we don't allow pets for your stay, we do have dogs in our home as a note for those who are allergic. The dogs do not spend any time in the studio and our house is kept very clean!
No smoking in the studio! No Pets please. Please don't ruin our things! :) We take very good care of our home and our belongings and we expect that you will as well. We are pretty strict on the maximum of 2 guests. Although it is a nice size studio, there is only room for two to sleep. We are open to you having a couple of people over for a beer or dinner if you decide to cook, but no more than that.

Jacqui's place is amazing. We had no problems finding it, and it was even better than the pictures can show. We were able to park for free on the street less than a block away from the studio which was a huge relief. The studio was clean, safe, quiet, and filled with snacks and toiletries. The neighborhood was filled with delicious restaurants and was just a short walk to the L. We would stay here again without hesitation. Thank you Jacqui!
Jacqui's studio is incredible! Modern, clean, furnished with all necessities and a few extras. Jacqui was quick to respond to all communication, was flexible with a check out time, and made sure we had everything we needed. The bed was really comfortable too! We would absolutely recommend this to others, and would stay there again in a heartbeat. If you don't know Chicago, this studio is also in a superb neighborhood with everything you need within walking distance (train, amazing restaurants, bars, coffee shops, boutiques, parks, etc). Street parking is also free and plentiful.
This was a great place nestled in a fantastic neighborhood! The space was fully equipped with lots of little extras just in case we forgot something. Jacqueline was super easy to work with.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The area was nice and quiet but close enough to the action for those who do enjoy nightlife. The home was just the right size and had updated fixtures and features. Jacqueline provided ample toiletries for visiting guests. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a more local experience or anyone wanting to be in a nice neighborhood while traveling. Blue line was less than .5 miles and to catch a cab to the north end of mag mile was less than $15. Will definitely stay again!
This studio is perfect! we really enjoyed staying here, convenient location, near to train and bus stops, shops, restaurants... Jacky was great and easy to communicate, this place is extremely clean and modern. Plus we got complementary bottles of water, apples and a bottle of wine. I loved visiting Chicago and will definitely stay on this studio if we come back...100% recommended.
We could not have been any happier with our stay! Jacqueline was very responsive throughout the process and made it very easy for us to access the studio, despite arriving much later than our originally planned arrival time.
The studio -- just WOW! It looked great in the pictures, but it looked even better in-person. We were amazed -- it had all the amenities and extras you could possibly need. Plus, it was in the perfect location -- very near to the heart of Wicker Park, but still on a rather quiet street.
Thank you for making our very first Airbnb stay so enjoyable!
About the Host, Jacqueline
I am a social worker who lives in Chicago, IL. My partner, who is an event planer, and I just recently bought a LEEDs Certified home in the Bucktown neighborhood and are excited about renting out the studio apartment that is located inside of it!
We are the ultimate party planners and always want to make sure that everyone has a fabulous time! We expect that translates to hosting travelers on airbnb!
We also love to travel and explore new destinations and it is important for us to have a comfortable, clean, and stylish :) place to lay our heads. As hosts we hope to provide that for you as well!
When I travel I like to do a bit of everything! I love to check out local restaurants, the neighborhood dive bar, an independent book shop, and a hike to the beach perhaps!
We are happy to provide you with information on how to do all of those things above (except for the hiking part)! Chicago is lacking in the mountain department.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any other questions about us!
