This house is fantastically located just a few blocks from JHU Homewood campus. We are 2 blocks from the JHU shuttle stops on 27th St and 8 blocks from the ones on 33rd St. A public bus stop is nearby on Charles and St Paul St's.

Hi Norah: Thank you for your feedback. We are very displeased that you had a disappointing experience. Your concern about arriving to find no keys was a legitimate issue that we would like not to repeat. We understand how that inconvenienced you. We have taken steps to improve cleanliness. That is an area of concern for us as well. We believe that one of the other guests was not courteous of the environment while staying, and that impacted you. We have engaged a long term guests to help with the day to day upkeep as it is impossible to clean the entire house daily and expect to be reasonably priced. We do have the kitchen and baths of the house professionally cleaned every week, the entire house cleaned every other week, and each room cleaned between guests. We suspect it is that daily upkeep from other guests that may have made your stay less pleasant. When you reported this issue to us we immediately dispatched cleaners to go the next day to do a thorough once-over. Your concern about broken dishes was the first we had heard of it. We inspected the house to find several chipped dishes which we will remove and replace. We maintain a large amount of dishware on-site to ensure all guests have ample cooking and dining facilities. 4-5 guests at any one time can mean a lot of the dishware can be in-use at any given time. We are glad to find this issue and resolve it. We employ a 3rd party service to help with booking and some service interactions as the volume we get at our price point in our neighborhood can be overwhelming. That may have led to your not knowing who you were interacting with. However, any item not resolved by our assistants is sent directly to the property manager. We're sorry this was confusing to you. We will work to eliminate that for future guests. While your comment about the management company being disinterested in the house almost certainly comes from your displeasure with your experience, I can assure you that is not the case. I personally resided at the property for over a year, and the landlord is one of our first clients. We have a special place in our past and heart for this property and only wish that it is kept up well and proudly. While we have room for improvement we would ask that you and all future guests keep in mind that you are sharing the entire house with other guests, as advertised, and that poses some challenges for sure. Someone else who is not the host is using the kitchen, baths, hallways, entries, internet, etc. It also means that you are able to stay in the neighborhood at a more affordable price as opposed to an apartment/condo stay which would have been priced much higher. Staying in that private apartment/condo arrangement would have meant that no other guest would have had any impact on your stay. If you contact us with your mailing address, we will be happy to send you a partial refund for your stay as a token of our understanding of your concerns and our dedication to improving upon them. Thank you!

Good room and housemates. Everyone pretty much keep to themselves. Good location! Was never afraid to walk around at night. Friendly neighbors! Brett was always quick to respond with any questions or concerns!!
