Nicely furnished and decorated bedroom for 1-2 people in a large, beautiful Noe Valley home. Queen sized bed, chair, hardwood floors, large window, towels/linens, WiFi, and 42" television with Apple TV (i.e. Netflix, HBO GO, iTunes).
You'll have access to a shared bath, kitchen, living area, and laundry room. In addition, there is a large backyard where you can enjoy the cool San Francisco weather and smoke as much as you please, as there is none allowed inside the house.
The neighborhood is quiet and quaint with tons of charm and variety. There are lots of shops and restaurants along 24th Street, including Philz Coffee (literally at the end of the block), Starbucks, Walgreens, Whole Foods, and more.
Everything is walkable and there are plenty of public transit options, including the 24 and 35 bus lines, and the 48 to the Mission and BART. It's only a few blocks walk to the J Muni line as well, which will take you downtown and to the Castro. If you have a car, there is plenty of on-street parking.
The house is generally quiet and should definitely be so between the hours of 11pm-7am (we all love our sleep). It's a great retreat and place to relax between site seeing, and being so close to tons of local attractions, you shouldn't stay anywhere else!
Please be respectful of others in the house and quiet between the hours of 11pm-7am.
Feel free to watch Netflix on me, but if you'd like to rent something on iTunes, you'll need to have your own personal account.
As a few people share the bathroom, please try to avoid using it during the 7-8am hour on weekdays; after showering, please get ready in your room. The downstairs bathroom is not included in the Airbnb stay and should not be used.
If using the kitchen to cook, it is expected that you'll clean up after yourself and leave everything as you found it. You will need to purchase your own food and beverages.
There is no smoking of any kind inside the house, nor should there be any excessive drinking, loud music, or parties (really, why would you throw a party at someone else's house).
A lovely cosy room to stay in! I especially enjoyed the interior designs of the house :D
Quite a lot of people came in and out during our two weeks of stay but the house stayed quiet and everyone were considerate of each other. The room was just like the description.
Location wise, bus stops were nearby (around 2 minutes walking distance) but if you want to talk the bart or the muni trains, I'd recommend you take the bus to get to the train station. Walking is possible but took me around 20 minutes walk to get there.
There were good restaurants, whole foods, walgreens nearby to get food which was convenient. Overall, a great place to stay!
The room was like on the photos! Nice and cosy! With a big TV and a little electronic heater, which makes the room very warm in a short time!
The house was clean and I have used the big kitchen to cook something. But I haven't met anybody, beside other airbnb guest who were staying in the room downstairs. (It was the thanksgiving weekend)
I was coming form the airport by Bart and one Bus in around 45min to the house. You can go easily to the city center by Muni with a (email hidden) or you can walk down the street to Muni Line J.
There are also lots of restaurants, coffee shops and a Whole food around the house in Noe Valley.
So in total a very nice room in a great location!
Me and my partner are on a little world trip started in San Francisco. Shannon's house (she shares with 2 or 3 other (website hidden)) is located in Noe valley which is a very nice place stay. There are many cute cafés and little stores..Also nice was her room we stayed in. Unfortunately we couldn't meet Shannon but she gave us every info we needed. But one important thing made us feel very uncomfortable- The (website hidden)! We haven't seen them much, just two times or something and very short but from the beginning on they were strange. They (more the one) didn't looked up to us or even said HI if we came in or went out. So we didn't felt welcome and don't know why. Like I said- from the first day on! The house is loud, you here every little noise... Long hairs in the tub and broken doorknob which weren't fixed so we felt guilty although it was not our fault. I'm just wondering if there is a good communication between the mates and I think they don't want other people in the house. We stayed almost 1 week and wanted to save money like buying food in the supermarket to put in the fridge...we couldn't because we felt not welcome! Bad bad vibes :(
I'm so sorry for my rude (website hidden)! We have one roommate who is moving out (because of such behavior) and the other is a subletter who definitely will not be living in the house for very much longer (again, because of such behavior). I truly apologize that they were not friendly or welcoming to you and Chris :(
We didn't meet with Shannon, but we was fascinated by the apartment. It was beautiful, clean and very cozy. We had a wonderful time in Noe Valley. The neighbourhood is lovely, the bus and the bart was near to the house.
We had a wonderful time at Shannon's apartment in Noe Valley! We didn't get a chance to meet her, but chatted with one of her other roommates who was really nice and gave us some local recommendations. The room is nicely decorated, really clean and the rest of the apartment is beautiful as well. We loved walking just a few minutes down 24th Street for great coffee, food, shops, and even a Whole Foods.
We had a great time in San Francisco and Shannon's apartment. The room and the whole apartment were very clean and the bed was so comfortable. We didn't meet Shannon but her roommates are very nice and gave us some local information. It was a wonderful experience! We would definitely recommend this option for a few days in San Francisco!
Thank you Shannon!
One of Shannons housemates showed us around the house. The neighborhood was very nice, there where several busstops and the BART on walking distance.
Originally from the Central Valley, arriving in San Francisco via Boston and Denver. I manage marketing and communications for a high profile architecture firm and love it.
