About this listing
Modern studio loft in historic building, located in Downtown LA's Historic Core. Exposed brick, high ceilings, & rooftop pool are just a few of the perks! Secured building - quiet and located near many restaurants, shops, bars & public transit.
This adorable corner unit is located in a historical building in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. It has a full kitchen (feel free to cook!), a full bath and heat and air.
There is wireless internet and a TV (hulu and netflix access through the Roku). Upstairs there is a gym, and on the rooftop there is a pool and hot tub overlooking the Downtown LA skyline.
** NOTE: New pictures will be posted before April 10th. I have replaced the couch, and rearranged slightly. There is now a larger gray sectional, and a mirrored IKEA wardrobe breaks up the space between the bedroom and living room, creating "rooms". Please contact me if you have any questions, and I will do my best to get current pics up ASAP! Other than that, the apartment is basically the same!
You will have access to the gym, and rooftop pool. There is no parking inside this building; however, there are parking lots nearby for around $6-15/night, and lots of access to public transportation (metro bus lines, and metro red, blue and expo lines).
Interaction with Guests
I will meet you upon arrival to show you around the building and to give you the keys. We can go over check out at that time as well.
This neighborhood is great - it is active and fun, yet safe and easy to maneuver. There are lots of great restaurants, shopping and bars nearby. It is within walking distance of the Fashion District, the Staples Center, and (email hidden). If you come for the 2nd Thursday of each month, you can experience Downtown's Art Walk, checking out art gallerys, watching live art shows, perusing handmade goods from street vendors, and seeing the diversity of LA come together.
Downtown residents are quite friendly; most people are out walking their dogs or eating at a cafe at any given time. There is a local coffee shop as well as a Starbucks one block away. Syrup offers the best desserts around, and LA Cafe is open 24 hours a day AND offers delivery!
Public Transit is EXTREMELY convenient. You can get to nearly anywhere in the LA area out of downtown. If you have specific questions about bus lines or transportation issues, feel free to contact me and I will do my very best to help you!
Other Things to Note
There is a laundry room located directly below this unit, within the building (just a few flights of stairs down). Wash is $1.50 and Dry is $1.25, and it only takes quarters.
Please be respectful of others in the building; this apartment is in the corner, and has only one neighbor. The floor generally stays pretty quiet - no loud music after 10pm.
When using the pool area - no glass is allowed. Alcoholic beverages are allowed as long as they are not in glass containers. Gym and Pool areas close at 10pm.
No pets allowed. You are more than welcome to use dishes, microwave and oven (I have lots of baking necessities!); however, please clean up and wash the dishes you use.
Absolutely NO smoking of any kind allowed in the apartment. Smoking is allowed on the rooftop.
Erin greeted me at the door, and welcomed me to her place. Looks just like the photos, very stylish and charming studio. Lots of activity in the neighborhood, with access to good restaurants, coffee shops, etc.
Erin's loft was super cute and in a perfect location. Highly recommended.
Erin was very helpful and friendly. She met us at the apartment, explained the basics and was available via phone if we needed anything. The apartment was great and we really enjoyed staying there.
I've stayed in LA for a Convention and the Erin's Studio was just the ideal place. Great location in Down Town. The Studio is like shown on the pic's.
The reservation was canceled 23 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Erin was a lovely host. She was very accommodating as far as meeting with us for the key exchange at our convenience and responded promptly to any inquiries. We liked the rooftop pool and it was a very pleasant There were two negatives: 1) the air conditioning was extremely loud (although it worked well.) Fortunately, we only needed it one night. However, because the studio is on the 2nd floor, we really couldn't open the windows due to the noise. 2) There was no place to hang any clothes.
