Stay on a small, working family farm in the Smoky Mountains of NC, with berries, lavender, flowers, and seasonal vegetables. The home blends rustic Appalachian charm with French Country style. Just off the Smoky Mountain Expressway, the farm includes a seasonal store, mountain views, and Scott’s Creek, a stocked trout stream. Guests may see farm activity and visitors, adding to the authentic charm of this active farm.

The space
The home features a full kitchen with stove, oven, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, tea pot, a dining area with seating for six, and a living room. Downstairs also has a powder room with stacked washer and dryer, and a bedroom with a queen bed, TV, small desk, closet, and ensuite with shower. Upstairs offers a sitting area with TV and a queen pull-out sofa, along with a master bedroom with king bed and a master bath with clawfoot tub, walk-in shower, double vanity, and water closet.

Outdoors, guests enjoy a private patio off the living area with table, a charcoal grill, and a fire pit. The farm is active and open to the public during the season, with berry bushes, lavender, flowers, and seasonal vegetables available to explore. Guests may walk in front of the house to access the fields, while patio, fire pit, and porch areas are reserved for overnight guests. A seasonal farm store is attached to the left side of the house. Reserved parking for farmhouse cottage guests is on the right side of the house, while public visitors to the farm park on the left.

Guest access
Guests have their own private entry to the middle of the home through the front or right-side door. The left wing of the home houses the farm store. Guests are welcome to visit during operating hours. The right-side patio is used for lavender drying a few weeks during peak season. Guests are still invited to use the space freely and will get to enjoy the sweet smell of freshly picked lavender while relaxing.

Other things to note
We would like guests to know that this is a working farm. During operating hours Monday-Saturday, there could be farm chores being completed and/or others on the property picking berries, flowers, lavender and/or visiting the store. There is a lot to watch, and farmhouse cabin guests are welcome to explore and experience life on a farm.
