Located just a mile from downtown Matewan restaurants & Devil Anse trailhead, we have plenty of space for a large group or a smaller family getaway. 3 spacious bedrooms & a sleeper sofa allow for up to 12 guests. Mountain & river views surround this comfortable home. Full kitchen & spacious deck with grill. Adjacent properties at The Overlook and River View are also available for multiple families or larger groups.

The space
The Eye in the Sky is located in Hatfield Bottom along the Tug River in Matewan, WV. We're about a mile from the Devil Anse trailhead and downtown Matewan restaurants, shops & museums. This beautifully remodeled home (2026) is perfect for riders who are looking for more than just a place to "rough it" while they enjoy the trails. Eye in the Sky is spacious and offers beautiful and peaceful views from both the front and back decks. It's packed with all the amenities you would want for a home away from home. It offers a full kitchen, two indoor dining areas, large living room, and roomy bedrooms as well as outdoor seating. You'll be perched above neighboring homes, providing views of the mountains you'll be riding.

ACCESSIBILITY - Please note the number of steps to enter the home. If you can't navigate stairs, please look at our sister property right across the street - River View at Hatfield Bottom.

FLAT GROUND PARKING - There is plenty of street level parking for two trucks & trailers in front of the detached garage. Additional parking is available directly across the street. There's plenty of room!

ADJACENT PROPERTIES - This home is designed for a maximum of 12 guests. Please do not book for more than 12, and note the additional rates for more than 5 guests. If your group needs extra space, River View at Hatfield Bottom is directly across the street and sleeps up to 6 and The Overlook at Hatfield Bottom is located directly behind the back deck and sleeps up to 4.
