  • We had a great time on Robert's boat - exactly what we were looking for! Excellent location within Amsterdam (2 mins from tram station, 20 min walk to Amsterdam Centraal) and close to shops.

Also excellent was Robert's hosting - ready waiting for us when we arrived, quick tour of the boat and basic food and toiletries supplied which all proved really useful.

    All in all, highly recommended

    Wij komen graag terug.

  • Robert was a very welcoming host and took his time to make us feel comfortable as well as well prepared for our visit. He kindly provided us not only with maps and information but also food and snacks for our stay. His boat is lovely and cosy, thank you Robert! We had a great time. Anna & Sam

  • We had a fabulous time on Robert's boat! It was just as described-cosy, well-equipped and spacious, and with a lovely personal touch. We definitely felt more a part of Amsterdam than we would have in a hotel and are definite Air B n B converts! Our only complaint would be that the bed was so comfy we didn't want to get up each morning!

Robert was extremely helpful every step of the way, and went out of his way to help us with our arrangements and make life easier for us. We ended up being really late due to traffic and an issue with the park and ride, but he was very patient, despite it making him late for a dinner arrangement which we were really greatful for.

We genuinely had a fantastic time on the boat and our friends who were staying in a nearbye hotel for the same price had serious boat envy and will definitely be boating on their next visit!

    A fantastic experience all round!

  • Great location near everything and yet quiet and super safe feeling. Beautiful houseboat which looks just as it does in the photos with everything we needed and more to have a wonderful weekend away. Lovely stay, would recommend!

  • Stayed here while at a conference for just under a week. Super comfortable bed and interesting decor. Robert's houseboat beats any hotel or stationary lodging in Amsterdam. It's on a quiet canal but walkable to lots of sights, nightlife, and bus/tram lines.

  • A perfect place to stay for an Amsterdam visit. Robert was faultless, very accommodating and we felt very comfortable staying in his lovely house boat.

  • Robert was great! Very helpful with good restaurants to try and sights to see in the city. We LOVED the houseboat! Fantastic location and spacious. We enjoyed people-watching on the canal and had a great trip. Will definitely visit again!

About
A russian Israeli, living in Amsterdam. I engineer software, enjoy cooking, biking, and since beginning of 2011 - sailing. I love music, and night life, going out yet I'm rather quiet. And I am fond of cats. As a guest for me critically important are: hot shower, WiFi, and to have a little private space so that I can close the door separating me from the outside world, and take a break. Secondarily comes either a central location, or at least no more than a few minutes-walking distance to the public transport. There are of course many other things I require, but from my experience of staying in b&b accommodations I was very surprised not to find any that meet those very simple needs. For my guests I intend providing everything I'd expect as a guest myself, so that their stay at my place will be comfortable and enjoyable.
