This unique loft is situated on the 3th, 4th and 5th floor floor of an 1890's Art Nouveau Townhouse. The income with closet space has a staircase leading to the main floor. Here there is a large open loft space with living room, dining room, open fully equipped kitchen, a large bathroom, a little terrace, an oriental decorated bedroom and a stair leading to the upper floor. This upper floor has two terraces, an office and a bedroom with matrimonial bed. The loft has its original Art Nouveau stain glass windows, high ceilings and woodwork. It has been decorated by art and antique dealers and is perfect for those who like to travel in style and luxury.
Breakfast and dining
In your apartment you’ll find coffee and tea to start with (we do not serve breakfast). There are several bakeries and stores nearby, so you can prepare your own breakfast in the apartment if you like, but the Sablon area is known for good eating and here are several places in the neighborhood where you can discover more exciting choices than coffee and bread.
There is the famous bakery the Pain Quotidien which is on the Grand Sablon and is great for farm style home made rolls and breads. There is Snack Aimé which is one of our favorites and it is just around the corner and there you'll find delicious homemade fruit tarts and wonderful hero sandwiches, soups and salads all very reasonable priced. Of course you should try the croissants and pastries at Wittamer, delicious. If you like sampling some of Belgium’s goodies, then the Grand Sablon have some of the best gourmet shops in the world - like chocolatiers Pierre Marcolini, Whittamer, Neuhaus and Godiva. Not to mention some of the best dining in Europe - Brigittines, Au Vieux Saint Martin, Lola, Comme Chez Soi are nearby.
The Sablon is in the center of town in the old city. You’re a five minute walk from the Grand’Place. The Sunday antique market is outside your front door. A few minutes walk away is the daily flea market (marché aux puces) or the exuberant Sunday South Market (food and clothes) at the South (Midi/Zuid) Station
For those who like museums : the Fine Art museum, the Erotic Museum, the Magritte Museum, the Music Instrument museum, the Comic Strip museum and the Horta house are all around the corner in walking distance.
As for shopping, you’re close to over 100 art and antique galleries, Avenue Louise, and Rue Dansaert, Brussels’ fashion street. There is a supermarket on the Grand Sablon, so food shopping is easy.
Ideal for those who like a romantic weekend in the luxury of a 19th century Art Nouveau Hotel de Maître. Only few steps away from the gay neighborhood.
Parking and public transport
Apart from parking in the street (pay meters) there is the Albertine parking only 50 meters away. (This apartment is located so central you won't really need your car). The nearest Metro (Central Station) is a five minute walk.
Basically every attraction is in walking distant. The apartment is approx 5 minutes walking from Central Station. There is the Airport Express Train every 20 minutes from the airport to Central Station. (fair 7,60 euro single). There is a bus stop in the street approx 30 mtrs. away.
Other Things to Note
***NORMAL CHECK IN is from 13 till 19 hrs.
***LATE CHECK IN before 23 hrs is possible with a little extra fee of 15 euro. If you need to check in after 23 hrs, the fee is 45 euro. This fee is asked as a small contribution towards the metro and/or taxi our housekeeper has to take to come from her home, leave her family and social activities outside her working hours and come and meet you at your convenience. It is to be paid directly to her in cash.
*** EARLY CHECK IN before 13 hrs is possible if there are no guests leaving the same day.
***NORMAL CHECK OUT is before 10 o'clock.
*** EARLY CHECK OUT is no problem and can be arranged with the housekeeper.
***LATE CHECK OUT no later than 14 hrs is only possible if there are no other guests coming in the same day into the apartment. However, you can always leave your luggage in the laundry room if we need to prepare the apartment for other guests.
IMPORTANT NOTES AND FAQ :
*** The bedrooms are on the back of the apartment, so they are quiet.
*** The loft is on the 3rd, 4th and 5th floor of the house and there is no elevator. Guest need to be in reasonable condition to cope with the many stairs. There is NO elevator in the building.
*** The loft is named after a famous French sculptor, Auguste RODIN, who used to live and work in this neighborhood. Please mention this name in EVERY conversation with me.
*** There is a washer and dryer in the house accessible to all the tenants and free of charge. Bring/buy your own products.
*** I have written an extensive GUIDEBOOK with reviews of all our favorite shops, museums, bars, restaurants, groceries, taxi stops, etc. There will be a printed version at your disposal in the apartment. It will help you to get around in the neighborhood and Brussels. On demand I can send you a copy of it by email before your arrival so you can prepare your stay better.
*** There is WIFI internet connection included in the price.
*** NO pets, NO smoking, NO parties.
*** No third party allowed in the apartment without prior notice and consent.
*** There is NO air-conditioning in the apartment.
*** Also available for long term rentals, ask for special rates and conditions.
*** We prefer to communicate in English or Dutch, but if you like you can write to us in Flemish, Dutch, English, Italian, French and German.
*** For every communication use the Airbnbsite. I check it every day. I DO NOT check my other emails on a daily base, so please don’t write to my other account!!!!
*** The loft is NOT a PARTY apartment. We ask our guest to respect the tranquility of the other inhabitants. If you disrespecting this we will ask you to leave immediately without refund.
*** You are renting a private apartment, NOT a hotel room, so daily cleaning and breakfast are NOT included in the price. However our housekeeper is available for you and is charged at an hourly rate.
*** When leaving the apartment we expect you to leave it in a properly state. Any damage or extra cleaning will be deducted from your guarantee.
*** We use eco-friendly products for cleaning and washing.

Great location for access to the best parts of the city. Really enjoyed all of the decor and would definitely stay here again.
Les + : le quartier est très cossu et central. L'appartement est tout à fait conforme aux photos publiées sur le site.
Les - : l'accueil laisse à désirer. Il faut prévoir de payer en liquide 15 euros si on arrive après 19h (et bien plus si on arrive plus tard), ce qui, compte tenu du prix de la nuit nous a semblé pour le moins malvenu. Nous avons donc écrit à Trente plusieurs jours avant d'arriver pour tâcher de régler ça "entre nous" et elle n'a pas daigné répondre à mon mail. Compte tenu de sa promptitude à répondre au mail de réservation, nous avons trouvé cette réaction plutôt grossière. De plus, au départ, il est stipulé dans le règlement (consultable sur la page airbnb de l'appartement) qu'il est possible de laisser ses bagages la journée et de les récupérer avant de quitter Bruxelles. Or, il est possible de les laisser dans une pièce, en effet, mais qui donne sur la cage d'escaliers et qui n'est pas fermée à clé. Cela change un peu la donne, n'est-ce pas?
En bref, l'appart est très bien mais Trente vit en Italie et a délégué à du personnel la gestion de son (ses?) appartement(s) et rien n'est convivial dans cette organisation.
Sorry you dind't enjoy your stay at the apartment. The 15 euro for late check in is marked clearly on the description of the apartment, on the reservation sheet and on the text message you receive from Ludmila. So surprised that you where surprised. Ludmila works all day and when she has to come late in the evening, leaving her social activities and family, 15 euro is a minor fee to pay for the tram and bus both ways. It doesn't even compensate her time to come over and wait for you. Most of our guest agree with this practice, sorry you didn't value her time and effort. We clearly state that all communication should go via airbnb as it is the only mail I check on a daily base. I haven't received any communication concerning this issue from you via airbnb, hence I don't think it is 'grossière' not to have been able to communicate with you. We clearly mark that you can leave your luggage in the laundry room, which you did. Again this is to acomodate our guests, it is not obligatory to leave them there. There are lockers at the station (3 minute walk) and at the airport. Again, we try to acomodate our guests when they have special needs, late check in, leaving luggage and many other things. Seems like you are confusing a concierge service in a hotel with a rental of a private apartment. Perhaps better next time to rent a hotel room with full concierge service in stead of an Airbnb experience.
Excellente communication avec la propriétaire et avec son contact sur place pour l'accueil. Le logement est parfaitement conforme à la description et aux photos publiées sur l'annonce. Localisation parfaite, bon état et bon niveau d'équipement. Beaucoup d'escaliers pour accéder mais l'annonce le précisait bien. La chambre principale sous les toits est très agréable, la seconde chambre est beaucoup plus petite (lit simple) mais reste fonctionnelle. Literie de bonne qualité. En bref, je suis ravi de ce séjour et y reviendrai avec plaisir pour mon prochain déplacement pro à Bruxelles.

Excellent communication with the owner and with her housekeeper. The accommodation is perfectly consistent with the description and photos posted on the announcement. Perfect location , in good condition and good level of equipment . Lots of stairs to access but the announcement stated it well. The master bedroom in the attic is very nice, the second chamber is much smaller ( single) but remains functional. Good quality bedding. In short, I am delighted with this stay and would gladly return for my next trip to Brussels.
L'appartement est raffiné et élégant et correspond parfaitement aux photos. Il est fonctionnel, très agréable à vivre. Il est très bien situé (le quartier des Sablons est idéal pour visiter le centre). Nous avons été bien accueillies par Ivan qui a pris le temps de nous donner toutes les informations. Trente met à disposition ses adresses préférées de restos et boutiques. Nous y retournerons avec plaisir! Nous avons pu quitter l'appartement à 14h et avons laissé nos bagages dans le laundry. Pratique!!!!
The apartment is refined and elegant and is exactly as in the for pictures. It is functional, very pleasant to live. It is very well located ( the Sablons district is ideal for visiting the center). We were welcomed by Ivan who took the time to give us all the information. Trente gives you a guidebook with her favorite restaurants and shops. We will return with pleasure! We were able to leave the apartment after 14hrs and left our bags in the laundry. Very convenient !!!!
The host was in a very huge rush and rattled off instructions. Having just spent 9 days on a houseboat in Amsterdam where the Dutch manager was so friendly, we were taken aback at her abruptness. The apartment was however clean. The neighbourhood is a convenient for tourists. There were only a few mugs - and some were chipped. The matress on the floor in the second bedroom was a bit strange
Was met promptly by Trentes housekeeper who helpfully showed me round the flat and made sure my iPad and phone all worked with the wifi. Flat was lovely and clean. Would definitely stay again! Thank you.

I (Trente) am an African American-Canadian fashion designer, model and writer and have lived and worked in New York, Paris,Tokyo, Karachi and Montreal before coming Brussels almost 20 years ago. I know the city very well and am happy to share with you all its wonderful hidden secrets.
