Wide and bright double bedroom with 3rd bed added. It has it's own private bathroom and a wonderful balcony where you can relax and have a view of the Sorrento panorama from the hill.
Calm and tidy, our villa is immersed in the nature, just close to Sorrento city center (6km).
If you travel by car, we have a free of charge parking and you will be able to reach wonderful spots in the whole Surrentine and Amalfi coast. Otherwise, there is a great bus service and the bus stop to/from Sorrento is just near our house.
The house is very beautiful and the view is even better than pictured here. Sorrento is a great base to explore the Pompeii ruin and the beautiful Amalfi Coast. To reach the house you can take a bus right in front of the Sorrento train station. The ride takes about 20 minutes and you will walk up to the house in one minute. One caution is that there is no bus on Sunday mornings. Because the house is far away from the city center you may want to arrive no later than 5:30 pm when the bus comes more frequently. Chiara provides you with great breakfast, but she prefers to work in the kitchen by herself; she does not seem to enjoy talking too much. You will need to bring your own shampoo, conditioner,... There is no wifi in the bedroom. You will have to come down in the dining area to use internet. As the kithen is kind of off limit, you will need to get fruits, water... from a supermarket. Walking down from the train station within 3 minutes there is a supermarket. The snack bar right beside the supermarket is superb. Quality of the food there is exceptional and you can easily make an excellent meal out of their offerings. Prices are really reasonable too. I strongly recommend this eatery.
Our stay with MariaChiara was wonderful. She and her son, Chris, made us feel very welcome in their gorgeous house. The room was spacious, clean, and we enjoyed a generous (delicious!) breakfast on their picturesque balcony each day. We had to leave early on our last day, but Chris still insisted on making us breakfast! There was a free spot for our rental car, and there is a bus stop just in front of the street that accommodates rides into Sorrento and also towards Positano/Amalfi. I would definitely recommend a stay with MariaChiara.
The house was beautiful and the view was even more amazing! We were only able to stay for one night, but the host was lovely and very accommodating. Wish I could have stayed longer! :)
MariaChiara was very friendly, loves to visit with her guest. Her place is a ways from town, so if you do not have a car you will need to be bussing it up and down. Public transit is right at the end of her street, though not always reliable. We waited often over qn hour for a bus that is supposed to come regularly (it doesn't). Steep walk up to her house, as is everything in Sorrento/Amalfi coast. Steep, stair everywhere!
The room we were in was large, and had a bathtub!! Yeah! It also had a large balcony - though we were out and about all day.
Maria Chiara and her son Chris have been very nice and helpful when we needed some help (for example, restaurants to go, suggestions, etc.). The room as well as the house were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was gorgeous with some really good Italian coffee, brioches and tomatos picked up for the garden of the villa. The overall stay was very positive and I'd recommend it.
Where do you begin when describing this Chiara's GORGEOUS home? I think I'd have to start with the truly stunning view you awake to every morning when stepping outside. It's the type of stuff you pinch yourself when you wake up and see it first thing. The grounds the house sits on, including a beautiful garden and swimming pool are equally gorgeous. The second would have to be the delightful, fresh breakfast Chiara and her family served each morning. The location is also superb, as a bus stop is directly at the end of the driveway, connecting you to Sorrento (15 minutes) and Positano (40 minutes). It is an essential Italian escape, that is an authentic, relaxing retreat. A combination of the stunning views, warm hospitality and effecient proximity make this a MUST stay if you're looking for a place to truly call "home" while on the Amalfi Coast. I will definitely be back the next time I return!

Mamma di due ragazzi, ho deciso di aprire la mia casa al mondo. Amo il giardino, l'orto e prendere il sole. Spero che anche voi possiate affezionarvi, almeno un pò, alla nostra casa.
