Wide and bright double bedroom with 3rd bed added. It has it's own private bathroom and a wonderful balcony where you can relax and have a view of the Sorrento panorama from the hill.
Calm and tidy, our villa is immersed in the nature, just close to Sorrento city center (6km).
If you travel by car, we have a free of charge parking and you will be able to reach wonderful spots in the whole Surrentine and Amalfi coast. Otherwise, there is a great bus service and the bus stop to/from Sorrento is just near our house.
My parent are happy and had a very good expirience during their staying.
Here it is some of those pleasant things they told me.
- the most breathtaking view from windows you can imagine;
- friendly, welcoming and helpful host;
- tasty breakfasts. (There was a day when parents went to Eastern coast early in the morning and they were happy when MiriaChiara kindly gave takeout food.);
- although place is rather far from the city center there are a lot nice restaurants around.
Thank you so much for being kind to my parents!
The house is beautiful, the location is amazing and the host are incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast is also really good (loads of fresh food!). One thing to bear in mind though is that it is located a 20 min bus ride or 45 minute walk (both very scenic) from Sorrento itself. We found that the buses were infrequent and stopped quite early at the time we were there (March, so low season), but during high season you shouldn't have any problems with that. Despite that, we had an absolutely amazing stay and would definitely return!
My wife and I had a wonderful stay Maria's beautiful home! The house itself is nestled in the hills with an incredible view of the city and the coast. The room was spacious and inviting, with a lovely balcony! It was too cold to enjoy the pool, but I'm sure it would be nice in the Spring/Summer time!!! Breakfast was great!!!
Maria and her son, Chris, were great hosts. Chris was able to provide us with lots of helpful tips on sights to see and places to eat both in Sorrento and Naples. His recommendations lead to our favorite dinner and the BEST pizza we've ever had!!!
Thanks Maria and Chris!!!
We stayed 3 days in Sorrento with my fiancé, Gabor. We were looking for a nice villa somewhere in the hills, but still close to the city. In real life the house and the view is just as amazing as on the pics and Chiara was really nice and welcomed us warmly.
She gave us some advice about where to go, where to eat. We found ourselves in her favorite pizzeria, she even dropped by to let the waiter know that we are her guests and make sure that we receive nice service. (It was indeed great, food was great, wine was great, and there was even a football match on TV, between Milan and Barcelona, so it was fun to watch it together with the guys there.)
There is a bus stop for 3 minutes walk from the villa, so to reach the beautiful little places like Sorrento (and from there Capri), Amalfi, Positano, etc. is really easy from there.
Breakfast was great as well. However we were there in late October, the weather was still nice, so we could eat on the terrace.
We recommend Chiara as a host and her villa as a B&B without a doubt.
Wonderful house, absolutely stunning location and spectacular post card view from the room's balcony!
MariaChiara and her son Chris are both very lovely and helpful. Chris recommended a wonderful restaurant to us in Sorrento (Leone di Rossi), which also was a great additional experience.
Unfortunately it was too cold for the pool, but should you travel during warmer months to this location, the pool would be an additional wow-factor.
We had a car ourselves, so it was easy to reach (it is up on a hill), however it might be a bit difficult for those without one, especially if you are planning to go to the port/Sorrento downtown (although there are frequent buses).
Me and my girl friend stayed at mariaChiara amazing villa for 2 nights, and we had a wonderful experience!
First of all, MariaCiara and her son chris, are more than lovely and welcoming hosts. We felt home from the moment we arrived, and we were given a full guidance and explanation about the area, and the different possibilities to make our trip in the area unforgettable. The villa is beautifully designed, and furnished in a unique italian style, and we got a magnificent room with view from the terrace which I have no words to describe.. Mariachiara served us a tasty breakfast with some tomatoes straight from her garden..(delicious)
In conclusion, perfect!
Based on the gorgeous pictures on airbnb we had quite a high expectation of Maria Chiara's garden house -- when we arrived there what we saw even exceeded our expectations. The house is absolutely gorgeous, impeccably clean and has a beautiful garden with all kinds of fruit trees and vegetables. The view of the gulf from our terrace was amazing, the one from the room next door was even more spectacular (there is also a third room downstairs with a view of the garden). Our room was large, nice, clean, and private with our own bathroom. The equipment are also nice (the only improvement I can think of would be the spring beds). Another thing we liked about the place is that it is up on the hill away from the extremely touristy Sorrento (but there is a convenient bus to and from downtown running until around midnight). The small village of Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi and the Il Deserto convent, which has a spectacular view of the coast, are within walking distance.
Maria Chiara and her son, Chris, are very nice, friendly and helpful hosts. Upon our arrival Chris came to pick us up from the train station. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at Maria Chiara's place. Highly recommended!
