Very central, modernized three bedroom apartment (two bedrooms and one big living room) with all facilities in both kitchen and bathroom plus a wonderful, sunny private terrace in the yard. Easy connection to everywhere, yet on a quiet road!
INSIDE THE APARTMENT
The 78 m2 apartment consists of a master bedroom with a large and very comfortable double bed, full size mirror and clothing space.
The other bedroom has a minor desk, useful if you have to get a little work done while you are away, and two full size mattresses with pillows, duvets etc. which can be placed together as a double bed or separately as twin beds according to your requirements. Simply let us know what you need, and we will make sure everything is as you require upon arrival.
The bathroom is large with a separate shower cabinet (which is not obligatory in central Copenhagen), heating in the floor, and a combined washing machine/dryer - very handy as you can start the washing machine as you leave the apartment and have it go directly into drying mode, which allows you to come home to clean and dry clothes.
We will of course provide clean linen and towels for you, so you have less to carry.
The spacious, cozy living room is the heart of the apartment! It is an open kitchen, dinning room, and living room in one with one wall consisting wholly of glass windows and a glass door with access to the private, sunny terrace. The room is very inclusive and bright, and it invites you to cook an exquisite dinner while others drink a glass of wine in the sun or sits comfortably in the large couch while still spending time together.
The kitchen of course has a microwave, coffee machine, dish washer, induction stove, a large oven, a blender and everything in cutlery. The dinning table is large and fits 9 people. The couch is also large and comfortable with a view to a large flat screen Tv with computer and wifi connection. We do not have cable, only about 6 channels, but with the TV access to wifi, you can choose whatever you want to stream on the big screen. Furthermore, we have a large movie collection (app. 350 movies) that you are of course welcome to dig in to should you feel the need for a quite evening at home.
The terrace has a dinning table for 6 people and a large gas grill. It is bathed in sun during summertime from approximately 12.30 pm until 20.00 pm. It is wonderfully shielded from the vigor of the big city, and all you hear is the children playing in the yard.
For the active guests, we also have an indoor fitness bike so that you can stay in shape and holiday with a good conscience ;)
Since we want you to feel at home, while guests in our home, you of course have access to all features in the apartment.
Interaction with Guests
Our apartment is available while my boyfriend and I are at tournaments or on holiday, wherefore you will have the entire apartment to yourself. Yet, my brothers and sister-in-laws live close by, and should you have any trouble or need of assistance, help is always just a phone call away, and they will be there in 20 minutes.
Vesterbro is one of the most popular areas in Copenhagen. This flat is located absolutely perfectly, on a small quiet road but with the vibrant Vesterbrogade just 1 min away. It has numerous supermarkets within 3 minutes walking distance, bakeries to provide you with breakfast, cafes, restaurants, shops, public transportation etc. all within 5 minutes walk. In 10 minutes you can get to the two wonderful parks Søndermarken and Frederiksberg Have, or walk directly to the Carlsberg Museum or the lovely Copenhagen Zoo on top of the hill - a must see in Copenhagen! Just 5 minutes walk in the other direction, you have Enghave Plads with much life, skating parks, and the beginning of Istedgade, another must see in Copenhagen. Istedgade starts at Enghave Plads and is trendy and hip with modern, famous cafes in this end and for 10/15 minutes walk. Then it slowly starts to change, and you can experience how it alters into the Copenhagen equivalent to the famous red light districts in the other end. A quite remarkable walk.
15 minutes walk will take you to Planetariet, a famous museum of physics and planets which is located just at the beginning of Søerne (the Lakes). You may follow the lakes and have an amazing walk through the busiest zones of Copenhagen without hardly noticing.
Finally, it is worth noting that one of the Danish Michelin restaurants is just 7 minutes walk away on Vesterbrogade - and it is even one of the affordable ones. Definitely worth a visit if you are into gourmet cuisine.
We will leave you directions with many more dos and don'ts in the apartment, which you may choose to follow if you wish to see some of the less spoken of pearls in Copenhagen, or you may discover this wonderful city on your own as you prefer.
Just outside on Vesterbrogade, you have the bus 6a which will take you to the Central Station (Hovedbanegården) in less than 10 minutes, to Rådhuspladsen (central square), Tivoli, and the beginning of Strøget (the pedestrian shopping street) in 11. minutes. Or stay in the bus for 5 more minutes and you arrive at Nørreport, the beginning of another 'must see' part of the city, Nørrebro. If you choose, you can also walk the distance to the Central Station in about 30 minutes along Vesterbrogade with shops on both sides for most of the way.
In addition to 6A there are also several other busses, e.g. 4A, close by for more specific locations.
N.B. Check-out time is listed at 11 am. However, should you have special requirements on this, let us know, and very often we can work this out without problems.
Well, seeing as this is our home and we love it very much, we of course wish you to take good care of it. We would like you to feel completely at home and therefore also treat it as you would your own home. Respect the interior and our kind neighbours, clean up after yourselves, wipe up and possibly vacuum if you caused the need for it, but no excessive cleaning is required. Close the windows and the terrace door if you play loud music after 22 pm etc.
Smoking: Is on the terrace.
Otherwise just enjoy!
Lea was an excellent host, providing detailed information on the location of her apartment and how to gain access on arrival. Her apartment was lovely, bright and airy with everything you would need. The apartment is in an excellent location, Vesterbro, for discovering Copenhagen. It is in a quiet street but has everything you need close by. It is also very easy to get around Copenhagen from here, the bus stop is around the corner and you can easily walk to a number of places (cafes, restaurants, bars, parks etc).
Great appartment and host. Our journey in Copenhagen was perfect!
Hi. Lea's apartment was a great place to stay. Nice and quite neighborhood and almost no traffic. Lea and her boyfriend was great hosts, if you had any questions about the apartment or the area it was just to ask. I recomend this apartment for all kinds of travelers!
Super fin lejlighed og god beliggenhed :)
Vi havde en hyggelig weekend i København.
Bellissima esperienza. Casa pulita e centrale, comoda per poter visitare la stupenda Copenaghen. Forse mancava solo un po'di spazio per riporre le nostre cose ma tutto risolvibile. Grazie a Lea...persona carina e gentile. Speriamo di rivederti presto. Tanti cari saluti,
Antonio, Nunzia, Carmela e Vittorio
Perfect location, walking distance to zoo and carlsberg and even tivoli.. no metro nearby but buses are in every 6-10 min.
Nice, cosy and comfy apartment with a life saving terrace for smokers!
2nd bedroom is ok for short holidays, but it can uncomfy for a week.. nevertheless, its a a good choice for a trip to Copenhagen =)
Enjoyed a lot!
Lea's place was perfect for our group of five. Comfortable bedding, great deck out back, lots of fridge space, natural light, ample seating... It had everything we were looking for. We especially appreciated the huge board game selection - played Settlers of Catan more than once during our stay :)
Lea was an excellent communicator and made sure we had what we needed. Would definitely stay again!
My name is Lea Kvistgaard. I graduated from Copenhagen Business School in January 2013 as Master of Arts in International Business Communication. I took my BA in English at the University of Copenhagen but spend the last semester at the Universitá degli Studi di Palermo in Sicily. I therefore speak fluent English and Italian at a decent communicative level.
Now I work for my father at a consultant agency, (email hidden), as a junior consultant. Our primary purpose is to evaluate the Rural Development Strategies of European member states and candidate countries.
In my spare time, I play the somewhat unusual sport of table soccer, which I really love! I have played o the Danish National Team on several occasions, and we have won the World Championship on our favorite table, Bonzini for two consecutive years. Many of my best friends, my two brothers, and my boyfriend all play at our local foosball club, and it therefore goes without saying that this odd hobby has given my countless great experiences and wonderful moments. If you are to stay in our newly purchased, wonderful apartment, you will of get to play the professional Bonzini table that we of course have for practice and fun ;)
Other than that, I am talkative, easy to laughs, and I am a good host that will help you make your stay as convenient, easy, and pleasant as in my power. I cannot wait to host you! See you soon.
