"Quiet, relaxing, peaceful"...are just some of the ways to characterize this well loved home nestled high in the coastal redwoods. If you want to get away from it all and are looking for tranquility...you have arrived. Welcome home to "Inner Peace".
"Inner Peace" is the place to come to when you are looking for a quiet, meditative space. Although it is located about 2 miles from town, you feel as if you are a million miles away.
There is so much to love about this home. Where to start?
The reclaimed Madrone wood flooring invites nature, at its most striking, into this warm and serene home. Skylights and large windows throughout face into the surrounding and majestic redwood forest. A cozy pellet stove invites you to relax into your getaway. A large, private backyard with a sprawling deck and hot tub completes this transformative sanctuary.
One of our favorite points of Inner Peace is how light, bright and open it is. To be in a redwood forest and strike a balance between forest and sunshine is something rare indeed. Inner Peace perfectly strikes that balance. It is a happy and restorative home.
The entry level:
Enter into a sun-filled and cheery living room with skylights, large forest facing windows, a cozy pellet stove, comfy furnishings and a large flat screen TV.
The kitchen is spacious and well appointed with an adjacent dining area. Large windows in the dining area bring the outdoors in inviting you to be part of the surrounding nature.
The entry level bedroom has a queen bed and windows looking out to the deck and redwoods.
There is also a 1/2 bath and laundry area on the level.
The upstairs offers the Master loft area with more views looking out to the trees, another queen bed and a large private bath with tub.
The deck is expansive with a hot tub and sweet dining area. Grab a book, your favorite beverage and hit the deck. Watch for shooting stars as you relax in the hot tub...THIS is what a vacation feels like!
Let the blue jays and morning doves wake you up and the crickets serenade you to sleep.... welcome home to "Inner Peace".

House and accommodations went well beyond what was expected. House was extremely well stocked and had plenty of things to keep you busy for an extended weekend. The host was also very helpful and quick to respond to all questions prior to the stay. Excellent experience all the way around.
We absolutely loved this tucked away little spot in the redwoods! Can't wait to head back sometime soon. The drive from San Francisco is gorgeous and there are plenty of lovely wineries on the way. The cabin was lovely, clean and perfectly stocked. Our dogs had a great time also, there is plenty of room to explore in this wooded getaway. Thanks, Stace!
This little cottage was perfect for our stay. Me and my girlfriend stayed here over a three day weekend in February and spent a lot of time cooking, watching movies, hot tubbing, and exploring the regional wineries. Korbel Sparkling Cellar is just 5 minutes away and the coast is only a 15 - 20 minute drive. The place was super clean and very quiet. We never saw the hosts, but check in and check out were very easy. No problems to report really. There was actually good wi-fi contrary to the description of the unit which was a pleasant surprise. We plan on coming back here maybe next Winter!
The Little Red House was wonderful - top notch kitchen appliances and cookware (including a cast iron pan) and forced heat throughout which made it a cozy get away. The beds were comfortable, shower was great (pressure nice and fixtures are all updated) and we loved the hot tub & hammock swing under the redwoods. This is a very conveniently located home and we hope to stay here again. Be sure to bring extra towels (as clearly suggested by the host) for the hot tub and in case you are staying multiple days as the home comes w/ exactly one towel per guest. Overall, this was an amazing getaway with friends!
Stace was very organized and the house was spotless, incredibly bright, and spacious.
Our party of 11 loved the location, the kitchen, the game room, the many, many decks, and the sunshine and beach close by. It was perfect!
Our only quibble was that Internet was slow -- but we were a group of 11 using it as a work retreat, so there were times when we all had to be online simultaneously.
We had a great time in the Bella Oceana. The view is amazing and the house well stocked with appliances. Perfect for a weekend on the beach!
The one funny thing was that there are abundant instructions all over the house that, although mostly reasonable, make you feel a bit like a little kid.
House was fine, and served the 8 of us well (although tight). Amazing views from a large deck with a small/basic hottub. 10-15 min walk to wonderful beach down a steep hill. Property manager was extremely nice and helpful.
Only downside is the overly extensive list of rules and regulations, unlike any of us have seen. And wifi is via a rented verizon router, which has significant limits. So just keep that in mind and you'll enjoy it.
Glad you had a great stay. Before you rented Bella Oceana we discussed that it had parking for 3 cars max and I let you know where to park any extra cars (The fact that you chose to park your extra car in a neighbors driveway was strange and not cool at all). I also explained what the wifi situation was...so no surprises there...you actually did not "rent " the wifi as you asked me to waive that fee and I did.
Houses that are rented that have WiFi have unlimited, free access to the internet. If a house does not have WiFi but you are in need of internet access, we do have Hot Spots that we rent for limited use. No downloading or streaming from these devices. They are meant for checking emails, surfing the internet only. I did explain that to you.
glad you had a good stay...it is a wonderful house.
Stace was great and very responsive throughout our stay. We absolutely loved the house. It was very clean, the kitchen was well stocked, and the views were absolutely amazing. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.
My friends and I had a great stay at this beautiful house in Dillon Beach. The location is amazing - beautiful view of the ocean (and of some great sunsets) and a 2 minute drive (or 15 minute walk downhill) to the beach.
I saw some previous reviews mention a lack of cell service, but we had no problem with that, with either verizon or at&t (including data service).
Overall, it was a great trip!
Very nice place! Cozy amongst the huge mansions. The owners take good care of it.
The beach directly below is quite nice to walk along, although you need to be ready to scramble over a rock or two to get there.
We rented over xmas, which can be a pain with the holidays and such, but the rental experience was smooth and easy. Thank you!!
Thanks for the feedback Sarah. Glad you had a great stay. I would not advise getting down to the beach the way you went...if you walk down the street 4 min or so you will run into a pretty easy path that lets you out near the Tide Pools...anyway, hope to see you again sometime.
