About this listing
This spacious room furnished with a desk, couch and a cozy bed is located near Reforma Ave Alameda Central, Insurgentes, Zona Rosa & the trendy Roma neighborhood. Markets, bars, theaters, malls, restaurants, metrobus / subway stations are all nearby.
The Art Deco building that houses the apartment has a beautiful interior with a prominent courtyard. The space itself has original bas relief moldings framing the high ceilings. The welcoming living room is decorated with pieces of my art, and the entire apartment is dotted with fresh greenery. A stack of guidebooks to the city are at your disposal, as well as anything else in my library. The kitchen is well-stocked with everything you need to cook, and coffee and tea are free all day.
This is an ideal room for arty travelers and writers looking for alternative housing or just students looking for a cheap, fanciful place to stay.
There is one shared bathroom in apartment.
Free WIFI, guidebooks, rechargeable public transport cards, kitchen, washing machine, earplugs (if needed), a Mexican pay-as-you-go SIM card (rechargeable at any convenience store), housecleaning service (included in the price).
Optional: I am a Spanish teacher for an American company that offers courses for expats living around the world. As such, I am happy to offer my services in the way of classes, and helpful pointers on key words or phrases are free of charge.
In addition to Spanish, I speak English, French and Italian fluently. I am happy to recommend interesting places to visit in the city, especially spaces and events connected to art and culture.
Open-minded, easy-going, friendly guests are very welcome in my home. Besides this is a gay friendly space.
Part of the reason I rent my space is to have the opportunity to meet people from around the world. I enjoy leisurely conversations on the arts, travel, languages, sharing experiences from different cultures and exchanging points of view. I welcome you to invite friends you might have or make here to the apartment. It's all about mutual respect and communication in the household. I want my guests to feel they are in their own home.
Also, non-smokers and smokers are welcome in my house.
Just please wash the stuff you use in the kitchen!
