Interaction with Guests

I'm working on a start-up and will be in and out of the building. Starting in February, I will be living in the Loft again! There are always people around though!

The Neighborhood

You're central to everything that you need. A great coffeehouse (Philz coffee), a great place to grab breakfast (The Creamery), the Caltrain to get to anywhere south of SF, the MUNI to take you to anywhere you want to go in the city, next to the baseball stadium, 3 blocks away from a really nice craft cocktail place, and about 4 blocks away from 21st Amendment brewery!

Getting around

MUNI and the Caltrain are literally on the same block. There isn't any parking included as part of this... but let me know if you need help finding something.

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Yanni was a great host. He had everything ready for me when I arrived and was very attentive to anything I could need. He even offered to pick me up at the airport.
The place is really cool. Close to caltrain and other public transport.
I stayed there for a week, sleeping on a bunk bed.
For the price, is a good place to stay if you're just visiting for a conference or a brief project.

  • Yanni is an awesome host! He helped get me acclimated to the area, as this was my first time visiting SF. Was super responsive and attentive to any concerns that arose as well. He genuinely cares about making your stay as pleasant as possible.

Zero complaints, everyone who stayed here was infectiously friendly and very respectful of one another. The loft is conveniently located near some great shopping and attractions. If you're just getting started in SF, or looking for a temporary place, I couldn't recommend this location enough. Really glad I booked here!

  • Yanni was a terrific host and made sure that my stay was a pleasant as possible.
Communication both via Airbnb and once in town was prompt and smooth. Yanni gave me a warm welcome and took , another roommate and myself out for drinks on the first night.
On to the loft! Ideally located in SoMa, it's in a safe, clean, modern and quiet part of the city. Close to a Safeway, Whole Foods, coffee shop and the bus/train station on 4th and King which made day trips easy and car free. Yanni was kind enough to find me a parking spot during my stay (YMMV).
Fully furnished kitchen with all the cooking ware.
Gigantic ceilings (? 20 ft) in the living room and dining room. Super comfy couches by the big flat screen TV. Clean bathrooom with good water pressure.
The 2nd floor has 3 double bunk beds, washer and drier and a closet. I didn't have any issues with falling asleep. Earplugs are generously provided if needed.
The loft is in a new apartment complex with 2 brand new gyms (great selection of new cardio machines, stretching area and weights area). Never crowded. There are also a pool table, basketball court, 2 climbing walls with self belay devices.
I actually forgot my climbing gear at the loft and Yanni was kind enough to ship it back to me! An awesome host who became a friend. Highly recommended.

  • Yanni was a great host and I'd return to his place if I come back to San Fran. It was a short walk to the main streets in San Fran and close to transport. Really friendly people in the house and I enjoyed spending time with them.

  • The host, Yanni, does an excellent job and truly went above and beyond. His attitude was that of not only a host but also a good friend, this made my stay in San Francisco unlike any other experience. Yanni does an amazing job in managing the loft and making sure that everything is exactly how it should be.

Regardless of where you want to go in San Francisco or the surrounding cities, you'll be situated perfectly.
If there is any downside that comes with staying at Yanni it's that it will give you an unrealistic expectation of any future AirBNB trips you might have.

I leave the loft having made several new friends and I am looking for reasons to return and stay once again. I

  • Deciding to book a bunk at the Startup Loft was the best decision I made during my move to San Francisco. It's perfectly located, clean, and provided me with the solid footing I needed to start my life in the city.

More importantly, Yanni was the perfect host. Not only did he pick me up from the airport, but he showed me everything San Francisco has to offer. He fostered a great vibe in the loft, so making friends with the other guests was instantaneous. I hope to stay in touch with everyone I met at there- smart, funny, good people.

If you're moving to the city, visiting friends, running away from home- stay here. You won't regret it.

  • Yanni runs a tight ship. He's professional and organized about arrangements relating to your stay, makes sure the apartment stays in good nick and has built a friendly environment. It was a pleasure to stay at the loft. There was good company, fun evenings after work and plenty of opportunity to take advantage of the blocks many amenities!
