Getting Around in Philly
It's super easy to get around in Philadelphia. Public transit - both the bus and subway- is conveniently located near our home.
If you plan to arrive to Philadelphia on megabus, bolt bus, or Amtrak you will be arriving into 30th Street Station in Philadelphia. The easiest way to go from 30th Street Station to our home would be to take a cab - it should be around $10. Public transportation is also convenient you can use the blue subway line headed east and take it to city hall. Then at the city hall stop there is a free interchange to the orange subway line. Take this line north to the spring garden stop. We're only a couple of blocks away from there!
Parking in our neighborhood is generally a breeze. There's a lot of on - street parking in our neighborhood right by the house. Just make sure that you pay attention to the signs when you park; some of the spots have time limits ( like 2 hours during the day) but there are many spots with no limits at all!

Becky and Oscar are very friendly gave me a warm welcome. The place is very cozy and super clean. The bedroom and the bed are very comfortable and calming. There is a Whole food market nearby and very convenient. And very close to Barnes foundation and Rodin museum. In addition, I had the pleasure of cooking my own dinner and it felt home. It is very well worth the value. I highly recommend it.
Very friendly and warm couple. Comfortable accommodations and Becky gave me great advice about what to see & do in Philly!
During our stay, we got to meet Oscar who directed us to our room and made us feel very welcome. The room is very cozy and we slept very comfortably. As New Yorkers we love to walk so we found the location very ideal. We enjoyed our short stay very much and we would definitely stay at Becky and Oscar's again.
We stayed two nights in mid Feb and everything was as advertised. Good location for the event we were attending on Spring Garden and we even walked back from South St later that night and it wasn't too far. There are several options for food and drink within a few blocks, parking was easy to find and the house was clean and well appointed - thanks Becky and Oscar.
Becky and Oscars place is great! Really close to everything you wanna visit or need. The room is clean and the bed comfortable. The neighborhood is one of the most quiet ones we had on our trip so far and it's quite easy to find a parking spot. Oscar was the perfect host: He's so welcoming and provided us with the best sushi-recommendation ever. Thanks again!
It was very very convenient in terms of location and check in! The house was very clean and comfortable. Oscar was kind and helpful as well :)

We are life-long learners and educators. We're very laid back and respect other people's privacy, but we're also very happy to give you advice during your stay (combined we've got about 30 years living in the Philly area). In the summer, we love to garden and spend time on our patio, filled with flowers and fresh herbs. We love Fairmount Park, local (and international) museums, and enjoy a good book. Our place is perfect for someone looking for a comfortable and affordable stay while in Philly - it's the best choice for any traveler!
