The house is in the slobs of Strandatindur, with Botnar just above, the view to the ocean and the harbor and the view to the Fjardarheidi mountain, Bjolfur mountain, Strandatindur mountain, the wild nature just above the garden. Nice neighbors, the wonderful brook just by the house. Some trees in the steep slopes of Strandatindur. Just beautiful!

We stayed at Johanna's place for less than 12 hours. Because we got into town really late at night, we did not get to meet her.
She had arranged for us to enter her house and marked the bedroom for us to use. The bed was very comfortable. There was no wifi in the bedroom and she had told us about this on the day we were arriving. Because we were arriving so late, we didn't need wifi and didn't bother moving to the kitchen to connect to the net.
This is a good little place and town to stop by and explore for a day or two. If we are passing by here again, we would stay with her.
Joanna was very welcoming and helpful planning our trip around Iceland. Sent us on a great adventure to scalenes. Home is lovely, 10/10 bed and shower.
Johanna was unbelievably warm and welcoming in sharing her home with us. She gave us access to anything we needed in the kitchen and living room. We honestly felt like her kids; she was very helpful in sharing information about travelling in Iceland in the winter, and gave us many helpful tips. However, I want to relate a story about how awesome Johanna was during our stay. We set out to drive to Akureyri in the morning, but hit terrible weather and got stranded a few miles from Seydifjordur. We were able to get in touch with Johanna, and she got in touch with emergency services and offered for us to come back to her place until the weather cleared. She was in touch with us until the police came and helped us out. We will always remember Johanna's unbelievable hospitality and helpfulness (particularly in an emergency situation) and I would recommend anyone to stay here.
The house was very comforable and nice. Johanna was great host!
I search for the entire house but it did not turn out to be. We were only given two bed rooms and a shared kitchen Without a living room.
Mr. Peter Ho
You had access to the two rooms as you booked and payed for. I did offer you the third room, but you didn't want to pay for it.
The living room is upstairs just beside the kitchen. You share the living room and the kitchen as well. This is after all not a guesthouse, you are staying in my home and you share with me. What kept you from enjoying the living room?

About the Host, Johanna
We live in a two-storey house. We are in our fifties. My husband Bergur is a marine engineer and I´m a principal in a Kindergarten.
Bergur loves going fishing and plays golf. I teach icelandic literature and music with children. I enjoy singing, reading, cooking, touring and enjoy the Icelandic nature. I love France and I've been there quite often, because of my education and connection to some teachers in France. Bergur loves Spain and the sun. When we travel, we enjoy getting to know the pepole and their culture. We have a big family and when they come for a visit, it is always great fun!
