Charming Casita on historic Santa Fe Trail, only 6 miles to the Plaza. Enjoy peace & quiet, overlooking the city with amazing sunsets and views from your own portal overlooking lush gardens. 3 miles down SF Trail to Museum Hill, 5 miles to Ski Basin road, hiking, biking trails, galleries, dining are closer yet. King sized bed, heated Jacuzzi tub, kitchenette, and hand-crafted furnishings complete the comforts of this beautiful casita.

The space
You will find a fully appointed living space, with TV, stereo, a large collection of DVDs and player, as cable is not available in our area. Comfy furnishings, kitchenette with everything you need to prepare your own meals if you desire, including a wood fire BBQ. Ask us if you need more wood.
We now have a king size bed with a thick pillowtop mattress topped with a featherbed, crisp cotton sheets and duvet cover, freshly laundered in anticipation of your visit. The duvet is down, and you have your choice of fiber or feather pillows or both to make your sleep the most comfortable ever.
In the living room we have an antique (in size as well as age) single bed, and can provide a high rise single air bed, for up to 2 children. We can provide a Pack and Play crib and a camping/ folding style high chair for your infant.
The full bath includes heated floor, heated Jacuzzi tub, fluffy cotton towels, and anything else you may need for a spa like bathing experience. We provide refillable shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, all unscented, in order to prevent extra plastic waste.
The Casita was recently renovated to include passive solar gain from the windows in both rooms to help keep the space warm and cozy; beautiful Saltillo tile floors, and classic Talavera tile counters, shower/tub surround; and south western style decor. The property is lushly landscaped and you are invited to spend time in the gardens, or watching the sunset from the portal.

Guest access
You are welcome to explore all of the property outside of the main house fence/walls. This includes hiking up and down to the arroyo, seating/picnic space in the wooded area just beyond your parking space, our baby orchard, and the gardens in progress around the property. Arroyo Hondo Park and Sun Mountain hiking trails are a mile away, and we are on one of the most popular cycling routes in Santa Fe.

Here your bikes or skis will be perfectly safe while you enjoy other activities.

Other things to note
A heavy snow fall could delay your departure, but Mark will attempt to get it cleared away as soon as possible. If heavy snow is forecast and you need to depart early we can arrange parking by the gate, but snow is usually not an issue for long in Santa Fe!

Neighborhood highlights

We are country living at it's finest. Our property is 8 acres accessed by a private drive on a ridge between 2 deep arroyos. Yet we live 10 minutes from most locations in Santa Fe, and only 2 miles to I-25!
One of the most popular restaurants in town, Harry's Roadhouse, is just under a mile from us, and easily walked if desired. We have a neighborhood of 5 acre lots behind us, but because of the wooded areas it feels like you are far out in the country. Most times of the day it's quiet and serene.
