Rosskerrig Holiday House is set in the idyllic surrounds of West Cork, on the Sheep’s Head Peninsula overlooking the beautiful Dunmanus Bay, between Ahakista and Kilcrohane villages. The charming house has a south facing aspect which allows for the best views of the picturesque countryside, across Dunmanus Bay to the Mizen Peninsula.
The property includes three double rooms, two of which are ensuite, and a twin room. The property has central heating, as well an open fire (lovely for those brisk winters nights!), and a separate large kitchen / dining room.
A warm welcome awaits in any of the local bars and restaurants, with food options available (happy to provide some local recommendations) to suit all budgets. In a addition to the many walking and cycling routes for which the peninsula is famous, other local leisure activities include, swimming, fishing, sailing and cookery classes to name but a few...
The house is spacious and very comfortable. There is a most wonderful view of the sea. If you like walking you are spoilt for choice.
The house is very well equipped down to the last detail. Electric blankets on all the beds! There was a tin of sweets left on the counter for us, so very thoughtful. We had all the family for Christmas dinner and Mary provided us with extra cooking implements without me asking. This made the day stress free. I cannot thank them enough. Mary's sister even brought us some home made cakes on one of the days we were staying there. The communication before and afterwards was excellent. I had left some items behind in the house and they arranged for them to be delivered to my mother's house.
We had a wonderful Christmas. I would highly recommend this house in all seasons. We were there in the depths of winter but the house was so snug that it didn't matter at all.
