Homely four bedroom cottage overlooking the beautiful Dunmanus Bay. A destination for all seasons - cuddle up beside an open fire in winter, or in fairer weather enjoy award winning scenic walking routes the length of the peninsula.

Rosskerrig Holiday House is set in the idyllic surrounds of West Cork, on the Sheep’s Head Peninsula overlooking the beautiful Dunmanus Bay, between Ahakista and Kilcrohane villages. The charming house has a south facing aspect which allows for the best views of the picturesque countryside, across Dunmanus Bay to the Mizen Peninsula.

The property includes three double rooms, two of which are ensuite, and a twin room. The property has central heating, as well an open fire (lovely for those brisk winters nights!) in the spacious living room, and a separate large kitchen / dining room with all mod-cons.

A warm welcome awaits in any of the local bars and restaurants, with food options available (happy to provide some local recommendations) to suit all budgets. In a addition to the many walking and cycling routes for which the peninsula is famous, other local leisure activities include, swimming, fishing, kayaking, sailing and cookery classes to name but a few...

In addition to the many local sights and activities, the property is also an excellent stop-off point on the Wild Atlantic Way - a 2,500km tourism trail (driving route) along the west coast of Ireland, from Cork to Donegal, which takes in some of the countries most breath taking scenery.

It's peaceful, tranquil with endless fresh air!

Public transport is poor in the area, your own transport is strongly recommended.

There are not enough good things to say about this listing. The property is in a perfect location for viewing the bay and ocean. They have thought of every amenity and provide a top-notch level of comfort. There are many walking trails around the area on the Sheepshead peninsula. Some driving is required to get into Bantry. There is a very nice movie theater there as well as many shops (grocery, shoes, clothing, photo, Irish wares, etc.) We will be back.

It was such a nice stay in the house. There is an incredible and wonderful view to the bay from the front side and the livingroom. The house is huge and very cosy with a chimney in the livingroom room. Its modern furnished and a lot of space in the house. If you stay there don't miss a walk at the sheepshad way to the lighthouse: its really beautiful. Thanks a lot for everything. We can really recommend this house! Julia :)

Absolutely loved staying at Mary & Micheal's house. The view has to be seen to be believed. The location was excellent, so peaceful. We loved looking out at the stars at night and having breakfast out front taking in the view every morning. The house itself was spotless and had everything we needed (except WiFi but it was good to disconnect). I would recommend this house for anyone - families, older people, people wanting to get away from it all. We would definitely consider returning.

This place was just wonderful. The house itself, its surroundings and the view on the coast were remarkable. The house had enough space for two families and although we couldn't meet the hosts, we got a very warm welcome from their son. There is plenty to see and do in the area. We would love to come back some time. Thanks!

We as a family of four people had a lovely stay at Mary's and Michael's house. The house itself is very cosy and welcoming. Yet the view is even more astonishing as the pictures show. When there's no fog you can see very far over the North Atlantic Ocean. Mary and Michael were really nice and gave tips when there were any questions. All in all I personally highly recommended staying at Mary's and Michael's house. :)
