Our cottage is very well located in the dynamic and hippe neighbourhood of Mile-End. It is situated in a nice and quiet street, very green in spring and summer. Very close to the metro and public bike.
This is a two floor cottage, with a big living-room and a big kitchen on the first floor and a big open terasse from where you can jump in the green and quiet backyard. You'll have the feeling to be in the countryside!!
On the second floor you'll find three bedrooms, one is suitable for a baby with a baby bed, each two other has a queen bed, 1 Bathroom with a bath tub, and two balcony.
Our place is a very good base from where to discover Montreal and its region both A40 and A15 high-ways are easily reachable by car, which you can easily park in the street.
Mile End is the place to be in Montreal!!! with trendy bar, original restaurant, and fun shopping.
Proximity of many parc allow you to take a break in the middle of your urban peregrination.
Charles and his family were really wonderful hosts. I wasn't totally sure they were going to be able to host me, but I'm so very glad that we were able to sort things out and I was actually able to stay with them. Charles and his wife were very lovely to chat with, and it was nice to meet interesting, open-minded people. I would definitely recommend them as hosts.
This was our first stay with AirBnB and it was lovely.
Our hosts were very warm and kind. We would recommend their clean and quite home.
Charles and Eve were great hosts! Their apartment is located in a great part of town - plenty of restaurants, cafes, shops, breakfast places (these were fantastic! ), bagel shops, banks (banque scotia is very close which was helpful with our bank of america debit cards). They told us of many places that we could go and were very helpful and patient with all our questions.
The house and room were very clean - bed was comfortable, sheets were clean, wifi was fast, all in all, it was the perfect spot for our 3 day vacation in Montreal!! We definitely recommend this place!
Charles and Eve were very warm and accommodating while hosting me on this last minute trip to Montreal. Their house is in a wonderful location in Mile End. I brought my bike and was out all day exploring, and returning to their house for sleep and shower was stress-free. Also they were very helpful in biking recommendations and places to visit and had coffee made in the morning which was a treat to start the day. They offered that I keep my bike in the their backyard but I noticed all the residents just lock their bikes to fences in the front yard, which was easier and felt safe. Wonderful stay overall and I highly recommend this host.
Located in the lovely Mile End area of Montreal. Make sure to check out nearby coffee shops and bakeries.
The host was gracious enough to let us drop our bags off before the previous check-out time. Though, I'm not sure the previous Air BnB renters were very pleased that we interrupted their breakfast.
There was some confusion and poor communication. As far as we could tell the host left on a 3 day camping trip and rented out the house to 3 different couples on 3 consecutive nights. There were instructions written in a notebook to pick up our bedding from a "black chair" and put the bedding on the bed in the master bedroom.
When we found the black chair, we discovered the bedding was incomplete - there was no sheet or fitted sheet, only a comforter cover and pillow covers.
We did some further investigation:
There was also a note from the previous couple (we were the second couple) in the notebook at all that said which bed they used which was the one we were supposed to use. So lots of confusion.
I think that it's possibly no one came in to clean/change the bedding in between guests. The place was sparse an reasonably clean so we couldn't tell. We did notice that one of the beds had been used and not had the bedding changed.
Not sure what to think. It wasn't bad overall but it was uncomfortable sleeping without sheets.
I think, to improve, better communication (maybe an instruction book for where things are in the place, tips, rules, and maybe some nearby recommendations) and a set sheet collection for visitors would be a good idea.
All that said, Charles was kind and the place was clean overall.
We had a very good stay in Charles and Eve house. It was roomy, comfortable and quiet and the hosts were accommodating. I highly recommend them.
