Interaction with Guests
I may or may not be home when guests are due to my work and travel schedules, but I would love to grab a drink with guests if it works with everyone's plans.
Our neighborhood is called, "SoFo" because it is the area in town Traverse City south of 14th Street.
It is a quiet area with grocery stores, restaurants, and breweries. Only blocks to Old Town and 1 mile to Downtown Traverse City.
Walking the 1.2 miles to downtown is easy with all sidewalk lined streets and there is a bus stop at the base of the driveway.
Other Things to Note
We do have Buddy the Dog (a beagle), who lives in the house. As much as we try to keep all the hair and allergens away-it isn't always possible. Guests with dog allergies should be aware.
All are welcome. LGBTQ friendly.
The main rule is please let me know if I can do anything to make your trip better. The goal is to get a 5 star review from each guest, and I want to do anything I can to earn it.
Quiet hours are 10:00pm-5:00am.
This was our first time using AirBnB and everything went great! The space was exactly as advertised and was perfect for a one night get away to Traverse City. Even though Marta was not home, she was also available on her phone and was able to make us feel like we were at home. Highly recommended!
The apartment was great! Everything we could've needed was all there for us. Best possible first experience with airbnb. Thanks Marta!
This was my first experience with Airbnb so I wasn't totally sure what to expect. Everything as a Marta described. We were able to bring our dog, which was a huge perk for us. We were also able to walk downtown which was great. The only downside was that with this spot being in the basement you could easily hear people moving around upstairs. However, the noise level never went past 10pm or 8am.
There was a full size bed and a full size futon available. While we didn't need it, it was nice to have access to laundry.
Marta's place was so comfortable! The downstairs was so cute and is as described.
I used it as a base to enjoy all the cross country skiing in the area. This is a great place to enjoy Traverse City or just to relax.
Our first AirBnB experience, I have to say we were very well impressed and felt at home. Marta was a great host, providing us with all the information we needed, great recommendations, and going that extra mile to make our trip memorable. This was a very special trip for my fiancé and I, with the space being an important component for our getaway. We immediately felt comfortable upon arrival, helping to secure a beautiful weekend ahead of us.
The studio was cozy, clean, quiet and was kept warm even through the coldest week of the year. The location couldn’t be any better, close to town but far enough away to feel like you have a comfortable retreat. Can’t wait to return in the summer to enjoy the SoFo place more.
Overall great experience and can’t wait to return.
SoFo Place - This 1 bedroom was so close to downtown and it was big enough for what we were looking for. The games and kitchenette are great features. The place was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the maps and other sundry Traverse City magazines to help us find the Market at the Commons which we really loved visiting.
Marta was a great host and provided everything that we expected. Although I did not receive information on how to get into the house she was very friendly and answered all questions when I called. It was great to be able to walk downtown. I would definitely stay here again.
