Located centrally in zone 2 in the fashionable, sought after, charming and safe BRACKENBURY VILLAGE in Hammersmith W6 0 postcode. The borough of Hammersmith & Fulham is central and next to the river Thames.

Brackenbury Village area of Hammersmith is a very desired location to live in London with house prices starting from £1.5 million.

This luxury appointed apartment is suitable for:
* one couple as one bedroom flat; or
* family of 3 (one person or 1 child on sofa bed)

En-suite bathroom is to main bedroom.

The apartment is newly decorated and spotlessly clean. It is situated on the lower ground level floor of a large Victorian building and is accessed from the house common hallway via a private staircase down as per photos. The bedroom is set to the back of the house and is very quiet as it has no adjoining neighbours to any side walls, above or below. The apartment has a rare huge luxury en-suite spa bath for two or three people. We offer a big super king size bed (2mx1.8m) in this apartment. The good size bedroom has plenty of storage space. The leather sofa bed (click clack type) in the sitting room can become a large single bed or a small double bed (2mx1.1m) when flattened for sleeping.

The apartment is approx. 30msq in internal size and extra 3msq of outside patio.

All appliances are in the apartment including washer dryer, fridge freezer, double oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee maker and kitchenware. Operating instructions and manuals for appliances are in the fridge housing cupboard. Fresh bedding, towels, toilet tissue, body and hand soap are provided on arrival.

It is a very high quality accommodation with high specification throughout with real Canadian maple hardwood floors, real granite kitchen, real leather furniture and designer fittings and furnishings.

The building is very secure with registered Banham locks fitted, recording cctv and floodlights.

The local area is safe and chrming with expensive houses around (Hammersmith is the 3rd most expensive borough in London after Westminster and Kensington & Chelsea) and has a "village-y" and friendly feel with lovely Victorian houses around, little shops and pubs. The shopping high street is within 5 minutes walk. Nearest Hammersmith tube is 5 minutes walk. Heathrow airport is 30 minutes away by tube train or by car/taxi. Central London (Piccadilly) is 15 minutes away by tube.

With three tube lines including District and Piccadilly running through Hammersmith and a gigantic bus station with buses to take you all over London, you’ll find Hammersmith to be one of the greatest transport connected areas of London.

The area has plenty of coffee and deli shops around to have delicious breakfast or lunch as well as gastro pubs, restaurants for dinner. There are 3 large supermarkets in the local area. Hammersmith is also home to the London's best restaurant - the famous River Cafe. Europe's largest shopping mall the Westfield is also nearby. For those interested in entertainment Lyric Theatre is 4 minutes walk away. Hammersmith Apollo is approx. 10 minutes walk. Hammersmith is also home to some very famous people such as Lily Allen, Hugh Grant and even Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe.

Onstreet parking is free on Saturdays and Sundays and between 5pm - 9am on weekdays. Otherwise it is pay at meter at £2.20 per hour. Local meters accept credit cards.

The river Thames and its riverside pubs are a 15 minute walk away.

There is also a lovely Ravenscourt Park nearby with its world famous gastro pub the Anglesea Arms (4th best gastro pub in London, the Times Nov. 2013) which I personally recommend for inexpensive good food experience.

Guest Access

All our listings are entirely private apartments and units. There is no sharing of space. We do not list rooms.

Interaction with Guests

Our interaction with guests totally depends on the type of guest and our available time. We generally meet our guests on arrival only when we hand over the keys. Occasionally we may have a drink and chat with guests who stay with us longer than 5 days. Sometimes we make good friends with our guests and keep in touch. There are times when we are very busy or travelling and guests are greeted by our representative or self check-in. We provide detailed information packs and manuals in the apartments.

The Neighborhood

It is all happening in Hammersmith, a centrally located hub with major investments improving the borough and with house prices up 3 times in 10 years. We are in the nicest and most expensive residential part of Hammersmith called Brackenbury Village.

Brackenbury Village is named after Sir Robert Brackenbury, who had custody of the TOWER OF LONDON in XV century (War of the Roses) and was a close ally of king Richard III. It is believed that Sir Bob executed Richard's young nephews at the tower so that Richard would inherit the crown.

On our doorstep we have the river Thames with its riverside pubs, nice parks, superb public transport, great pubs, Michelin star restaurant, multinational food market and lots of shops for every pocket. Westfield is also within walking. Hammersmith is a mix of lovely residential streets with Victorian houses and a multinational business centre on the high street (Disney, Coca-Cola, L'Oreal, Sony Eriksson, EMI, etc.). Famous Notting Hill and Chelsea are our immediate adjoining neighbours. In London they say "west is best" and we totally agree and would not live elsewhere in the city.

Getting around

Hammersmith is the best transport connected area to take you all over London. Central and yet conveniently linked to Heathrow and Gatwick airports. Multiple tube lines and a huge bus station within 5 minutes walk. All shopping big and small nearby.

Other Things to Note

SAFETY COMES FIRST IN OUR HOUSEHOLD. We meet building regulations requirements. We have a central mains electricity powered smoke and heat detector alarm system for the whole building (not the unreliable battery operated alarms). This apartment has no gas appliances and there is no risk of CO emissions. We are owners (no agents, no sub-letting, no 3rd parties) and you rent directly from us and we have all permissions and no restrictions from the local authorities to short let. Therefore, your stay does not depend on any third parties and will not be cancelled due to unlawful letting / sub-letting. We also have recording cctv system in common parts of the building and good security.

  • Great comfortable place easily accessible to central London, 5 minutes walk from Hammersmith tube station. Enjoyed a fabulous shower after a long day! Anetta & Toby communicated well making it easy place to stay. Good local places to eat. Wouldn't hesitate to return.

  • We loved this flat! It was exactly as pictured (very nice and comfy). The location was PERFECT. We were in a quiet neighborhood, but, with quick walks to local pubs and only a 5 minute walk to the Hammersmith Tube station (which is excellent, with several main lines running, and, direct route to Heathrow). We were close to all of the conveniences of the city, but, with the quiet charm of a neighborhood. We couldn't have dreamed up a better spot! Anetta & Toby were such friendly hosts and always responded so quickly. We loved getting to meet them! I would recommend this flat to anyone visiting London - it's truly perfect! I would definitely rent here again if I return to London! It was also so nice to be able to do laundry, cook a little, and, enjoy a steam in the spa after a long day on my feet!

  • We were given the bigger flat on the ground floor instead of that originally booked which was nice. Lots of natural light and well furnished and equipped. The garden was nice too.

    The flat was very clean and our parents (who stayed in the flat) were very happy. The flat is in a great location 5 minutes walk from Hammersmith station.

  • Excellent location about 6 mins walk from Tube Station from where you can reach central London in about 10-15 mins. Flat was clean and comfortable. Ideal for a couple or for a couple and one child.

  • We really enjoyed our stay in Anetta & Toby's apartment. It's very conveniently situated close to the hammersmith tube. & bus station which was fantastic for travelling into see all the sight. We wish we could have stayed longer to explore the hammersmith area. We had a meal in the Andover Arms and loved the friendly atmosphere. Thanks Anetta

  • We had a really great time in London thanks to the great apartment and Anetta & Toby! The apartment is exactly what we were expecting. Clean, fully functional and with enough space and privacy to live. Also the bathroom with Spa is a big plus. You can really relax after a long day walking through the city.
    Because the apartment is not located on a through street, you don’t have to worry about the sound of cars disturbing your stay. With just a little walk we were able to pick one of the 4 lines of the tube, which brought us quick to the center of London.
    Anetta & Toby live nearby and that’s why we saw them a couple of times on our way to our apartment. Always with a smile, asking if everything was all right. We definitely advise people to book this apartment if it is available! Our first experience with Airbnb, couldn’t be better! We felt very welcome!

  • I stayed at both the spa flat and the first floor flat. Both were great - the spa in the former was a luxury and the space and light in the latter was pleasant in the long spring evenings.

    The house is in a lovely location near to Hammersmith tube and shops. The area had a lovely village feel and I can highly recommend The Andover Arms pub and the German bakery on King Street.

    Anetta and Toby are great hosts, very welcoming - it was a pleasure to stay at their place. I can certainly recommend them.

  • I was staying in London to take part in the London Marathon, so the hot tub/ spa was the main selling point for me, and it was just what I needed for my sore legs afterwards! Our 3 night stay was great - communication beforehand was no problem and all polite. The flat was exactly as shown in the photos, and there were no issues/ problems to deal with. I would stay there again.
