We staying at Nela and Luksa's home at the end of September 2014. This being our first airbnb experience... We loved it! They where so welcoming, it felt like a home away from home and so clean! The balcony and view is the perfect spot for bread, wine and cheese! We loved our stay and would recommend anyone wanting a rustic, peaceful, beautiful and charming home to stay in when visiting Dubrovnik.
Luksa meet us and escorted us right to our front door, then spent 30 minutes going over the best places to visit in Dubrovnik. Right down from the Hanzas door(100 meters) is the bus that will drop you off at the gate of Dubrovnik old city.
The apartment is exactly like the pictures, wonderful place to stay. It has been in Luksas' family since around the 15th century. The Hanzas will do their best to attempt to provide whatever you might need. However, they will never invade your privacy, if there is ever a need just ask them! They are some the most genuine people I have ever meet.
Not only were the Hanzas attentive, and excellent hosts; my family and I have made friends with them and still keep in touch. If you want a personal and 5 star treatment, stay here!!
Nela welcomed us very well and she was always answering the sms immediately. She was very friendly and we felt very welcome. To be honest the apartment is much darker than shown on the picture and we was very disappointed because they looked fresh and light. There is also a very old and bad smell insight of the apartment which didn't disappear even when we had all windows and the door open all day. The terrace was very nice and the view is amazing, it's just the smell of rotten grapes that affects the nice view a bit. I'am a bit sad I have to leave that comment because Nela and her husband are so kind and friendly and at the same time I want other guest to know what they book.
Thank You for the remarks. You should ask us and we would move the scent of lavander outside. One was on the closet in the hallway that You have moved away and the other was on the other closet that You haven't seen. By the way scent is so that You do not have the troubles with mosquitos :-) You should just asked :-) Also, we apologize because the "dark" because it was really bad weather - the rain all the time and the photos were taken on the sunny day. As I have asked You is everything ok, You should text message me to come and swipe the terrace - as You and Your mother haven't told me anything we didn't want to come downstairs and disturb You because we want that You have Your own privacy. Also, Luksa could help You with moving the furniture You didn't had to do it by Yourself :-) Once again, I thank You for the remarks.
What can I say, all of the below comments are spot on. My husband and I picked the apartment based off of the photos and the amazing reviews. Right away, Nela asked for our flight number and was aware when we landed and her husband Luksa was there at the bus station to pick us up and take us to the apartment. He then spent time showing us the amenities and sat us down with a map of the city. It was so helpful to know which busses to take and have great recommendations on restaurants and activities worth while to look into.
The view is amazing from the apartment terrace which is about 10 minutes away from the old city of Dubrovnik, we really enjoyed coming back to this area after a crowded day in the city. We encountered rain and would have liked to spend more time out on the terrace, especially at night.
Nela, always was available to answer any questions that we could think of and Luksa even came down first thing in the morning to take us to the bus station when we left. They made us feel right at home and cared for! Thank you again for making our stay in Croatia so enjoyable!!

We arrived in the afternoon and Nela's husband came and picked us up from the main bus station. Upon arrival we went up some stairs to a private and secluded apartment with the most amazing terrace that had a grape vine growing throughout to provide perfect shade. The view was amazing.
The accommodation was simple, clean and neat with everything you need for 3 days or 3 weeks.
We were told everything we needed to know about the neighborhood including where to swim and eat as well as the best places to see and things to do in the old town.
The apartment was private which really suited us and just across the road you could jump into the water to cool off. There was also a great restaurant downstairs.
Getting into town was easy and took approx 10 minutes. We really thought the position was great and allowed us to relax from the hustle and bustle of the Old Town and really unwind and relax.
The special touches and attention to detail from Nela and her family were what really stood out. They were so welcoming and if there was anything we wanted we just had to ask. I would definitely come again and recommend it for your stay.
Nela was an amazing host! :) She was waiting for us to reach her place, gave us directions and some useful tips for sightseeing Dubrovnik. Her flat is perfectly located, great connection with Dubrovnik. Under the building there is a great restaurant - Bonaca - with good food and reasonable prices. I would definitely recommend this place!
The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay, but what really makes it are the hosts, who are full of advice, information and can't do enough to help you. Thank you Luksa for everything!
Hello everybody :)
