Groups find the space ideal
Several groups of friends call the house spacious and the perfect setting for a weekend together
Set on 66 acres of private upland woods, wetland streams, marshy meadows, lush gardens, and wildflower fields, this historical stone house dating back to 1749, has retained its authentic charm and has been beautifully expanded into a spacious and elegant home.
A great destination for exploratory outdoors experiences, including stargazing, forest bathing, daily walks, meditation, celebration, photography, bird watching, art making, reading, playing, and relaxing nature-based family fun.
The space
This house was one of the original Saugerties stone houses and was featured in The Early History of Saugerties, 1660-1825, by Benjamin Myer Brink.
Featuring five comfortable bedrooms - one with a private salon, three with dedicated work areas, a fire place, a whirlpool tub, walk-in shower, steam shower, claw-foot tub, expansive cook's kitchen, two large bluestone patios- one with a wood fired pizza oven and both great for relaxing or entertaining, laundry room with sink, folding table washer, and dryer, lush ornamental gardens, EV car charger, carport and ample parking.
Also featuring an 1800s summer kitchen barn, converted into a yoga, meditation, and exercise house that opens onto an enclosed, private meditation garden.
A place to wind down, explore, and reconnect.
Guest access
The entire stone house at WFF, yoga house, and most of the surrounding grounds are available to our guests.
Other things to note
Kris and Chris will be your primary contact. We also have an on-site property caretaker living in a separate building who is available should a hands-on problem arise. We operate a small nonprofit in an adjacent barn that occasionally hosts yoga classes and other events.
