Carpathian Log Home is a complex of 2 glazed wall wooden chalets settled on a big property with wild meadows and so close to the forest! The chalets are situated at the entrance of Piatra Craiului National Park, near the legendary Bran (Dracula's) Castle. It has 5 bedrooms & ensuite bathrooms, high ceiling livingroom, fireplace and glazed wall with amazing view to the mountains, gourmet kitchen, sauna & jacuzzi, big gazebo& bbq, perfect for big families, near Poiana Brasov ski slopes.

The space
Carpathian Log Home2 will comfortably accommodate 10 people in the 5 double bedrooms, with space for 4 extra persons on the sleeping sofas in the livingroom. All bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms, they're large and well lit, with amazing views to the Bucegi and Piatra Craiului Mountains. You will enjoy the smell of wood in the whole chalet, the solid wood furniture and the fine bedding will ensure a good rest. All bedrooms are fitted with a flat screen tv with cable channels.
All bathrooms are fitted with towels, hair dryers and complimentary cosmetics.
The house is surrounded by a terrace where you can sunbathe all day long, while in the garden you will find a wooden swing and a gazebo, for the warm summer days.
The gound floor comprises of a large open plan with living room area and seating places for 10 around the fireplace, a large dining table for 10/12/14, the open state of the art kitchen and a bedroom with its own bathroom.
The first floor comprises of two double bedrooms with ensuite baths and balconies, while the second floor has a double bedroom with ensuite bath and a relaxation/reading spot.
The 5th bedroom is actually a luxury junior suite, with independent entrance. It has direct access to the new spa with saline sauna. The total area of the junior suite is about 60 square meters.
A saline sauna is a modern Finnish sauna with a salt wall. The Himalaya salt bricks that we chose have a very healthy effect for the respiratory system, but not only. It is a very effective way to relax the entire body. In addition to being one of the most popular spa services in recent years, salt room therapy provides a myriad of health benefits to those who experience it. Not only is it a form of natural healing that has been used since ancient times, but it’s also an effective, harm-free alternative to treating chronic health conditions.

There's parking space for 6 cars in front of the chalet.

Guest access
Guests will have access to everything there's in the house, from the spices collection found in the gourmet kitchen to the extensive music/movies collection, the library with books in English and Romanian, guide books, the media center with 50" HD led smart tv and usb player, 5.1 sound system, dvd, high speed wifi.

Other things to note
Please note that the last part (200 meters) of the road to the house is steep and unpaved. Drivers without experience on mountain roads might find it difficult to make it all the way up. If you're going to rent a car, I strongly recommend a 4wd Dacia Duster, very inexpensive and perfect for the Romanian roads. If you're driving a 2wd car, let me know ahead of time and I'll explain how to approach the hill. I'm always available to help you with bringing up the luggage, if you prefer parking 200 meters down the road (safe spot).

Where you’ll be

Predeluț, Județul Brașov, Romania

Located 25 Km from Brasov and 190 Km from Bucharest, Bran represents both a historical place and a legend. Bran is the gateway between Transylvania and Valachia with one side lined by the Piatra Craiului Mountains and the other by the Bucegi Mountains.
Bran hosts one of the most visited castles in Europe, the Dracula Castle, the source which inspired the most fascinating legend of the blood- shedding Count Dracula. The Castle was built by the inhabitants of Brasov in the interval (phone number hidden) protect the mountain pass from the invading Turks. At the beginning of the 20th century it became the favourite residence of Queen Maria of Romania, a queen for whom the Bran inhabitants manifested a deep gratitude, as they also benefited from a profound appreciation during the Romanian monarchy.

Although the name of Bran is closely linked to that of the Bran Castle, the region is extremely rich in tourist attractions: the Moieciului Gorges, the Bucegi Mountains and Piatra Craiului, Pestera Dambovicioara, Cetatea Rasnovului (Rasnov Fortress), and also Brasov and the neighbouring Saxon fortresses from Prejmer and Harman.

More distant sites can also be visited, such as: Peles Castle in Sinaia, the medieval fortress Sighisoara (UNESCO Patrimony), or Biertan, one of the biggest Saxon fortresses in Transylvania.

Bran has also become a place which competes with the town due to its smart villas built in recent years. Living within a well-meaning nature, with hardworking and welcoming people the people from Bran always knew how to benefit from the assets they had from tourism. Rural tourism has been practised in the region for some decades, representing a feasible alternative to the large hotels in the Valea Prahovei or Poiana Brasov resort.

Poiana Brasov resort is a traditional place for skiing, but also for spending Summer holidays. the access from Rasnov is pretty short (9kms).

The family-like atmosphere that overwhelms you in the rural homes, the people who know to value a "thank you" coming from the bottom of the heart of a tourist after a good wealthy meal, hosts who will proudly show their tastefully decorated houses, are only some of the arguments which will persuade you to prolong your stay in these places.

I'm a nature lover and a world traveler. I've been using the site as a traveler before and I loved the whole experience, so I thought about listing my home as well. It is a beautiful log home in the mountains, with spectacular views in and out. It's been decorated with love and natural materials, for a relaxing, comfortable living. This is where I live and you will find here bits of my life and personality. I trust you will find it as homey and warm as I do and you will want to come back sometime:) Enjoy your staying in Bran and my home.
