Very unique and quiet cottage nestled in the heart of Kapaa. You won't find a better location. Walk to restaurants and grocery stores on a private path at your doorstep. The bike path and beach are right across the street. It's easy to get anywhere on the island. It's the only place I know of that's so close to a coconut plantation besides the Coco Palms.
This lovely guesthouse is shaded by a huge mango tree and has a view of the Sleeping Giant from the yard. This is a simple, open studio with full kitchen, bathroom with tub and washer and dryer. The cottage was recently upgraded and now has a full-sized comfy bed as well as a small loveseat. Parking space and Wi-Fi included.
We live in the main house which is close by, but the place is very private and we let our guests have their space.
You will definitely need a rental car to get around Kauai.
If you want the true Kauai experience, you have found the right place. Organic soaps and shampoos included.

Petit cottage qui correspond très bien à la description, très bien équipé et propre, il est idéalement situé avec une indépendance totale!
Great hosts and central location. They offered to let us use snorkeling gear and a cooler-so sweet. The cabin was very clean and we were pleasantly surprised by how good the mattress was (not a futon) and that the sheets were soft. We both slept great. We will definitely stay again on our next visit. Just an FYI-bring earplugs (we did) since roosters run this island not people.
Thanks for hosting our stay during our trip to Kauai.
The accommodations were terrific and the communication between Eric and myself were great. He constantly kept me up to date and helped with anything he could.
The place no long has a futon - it's a real bed, great kitchen and great location. Kapaa is pretty much "central" on the island so traveling to the north shore or south would take about the same amount of time.
Thanks for the snorkeling gear, cooler and laundry facilities. Great stay. Watch out for the chickens.
Eric and Amy's cottage was perfect for our vacation to Kauai!
It's a cute little studio apartment in a great location - on the east side of the island, so both north and south shores were easily accessible. It was also a ~5 minute drive from Sleeping Giant which was a great hike.
Would definitely recommend staying here if you want a great launching off point to explore the entire island.
Eric and Amy were awesome! Loved the location of their beautiful little cottage. They let us borrow snorkel gear and an ice chest which was super sweet. Also said we could use their dryer and washer if needed. Just bring a pair of earplugs... the roosters start crowing early! I would definitely stay there again if back in beautiful Kauai! Mahalo!
I was in Kauai for 6 days with a friend and this was the perfect location to travel around the island. Eric provided snorkeling gear and a cooler for us during our trips to the beach (right across the street). There is a also a great bike path so rent bikes and ride along the beach. I will be back!
My boyfriend and I stayed here when we were island-hopping to Kauai. The cottage was nice and private. It's in a good central location to everything on the island. The cottage had everything we needed: a bathroom with a nice shower, full kitchen, washer and dryer, wifi, etc. Eric was super friendly and helpful! He let us use a bunch of his stuff, including a cooler, snorkel gear, and a couple guide books. He also gave us some very useful bugspray! We had a wonderful time staying here!
This was a great simple place to stay! So nice and right in the middle of everything. Clean, well maintained and homey. The weekend we stayed was windy and rainy and the overhead grasses made the greatest sound in the wind for sleeping. Eric was a great host, and very flexible and accommodating. Looking forward to another Kauai visit.
Had a great time at Eric and Amy's guest house! It's located smack dab in the middle of everything you'd want to see on the island; 1.5 hours to Waimea canyon if you go SW and an hour out to Kee Beach, the tunnels, and trails. Lots of great things to do near the house too in terms of great eats and beaches. Eric allowed us to use their bikes and snorkel gear (which saves a bit of money!), which we had a great time with.
Your bed is a futon, but it's pretty comfy. Eric provided a foam mattress if you're into soft beds, but we slept without it and were fine. They had a full kitchen available to us and we made dinner one of the nights we were there from ingredients we bought from the local supermarket down the street. We even did laundry here after one of our big hikes!
I highly recommend staying here; it's a great value for a Kauai getaway!
Super nice hosts!
The cottage is cute and very well located.
Kapaa and some beaches are close and you can even bike there.
Eric let us borrow snorkeling gears, cooler, beach towels and bikes!
Thanks very much, we had a wonderful time!
