Sweetly bare bones with simple charm. A rustic bunkhouse on our working family pig farm, nestled in the Dundee Hills wine country. One mile from town and within walking distance to world class wineries and restaurants. Stunning vineyard views and refreshingly private. Not recommended for high maintenance guests. Toilet and heat, but NO hot water, NO shower and NO cooking facilities. See detailed description for more info.

The space

Secluded studio cabin with a queen size bed, bunk beds, table and chairs. Private outdoor seating area with chairs and picnic table. Room for a tent at no extra charge. Not recommended for high maintenance guests. Toilet, delicious well water and heat, but NO hot water, NO shower and NO cooking facilities. Let us know if you'd like a cooler. We are a 13 acre working family farm with pigs, chickens, (yes a rooster who crows), goats, ducks, loving cats and our friendly pups, Heidi and Lucy. Dreamy vineyard views and a perfect spot for watching the sunset with a glass of Oregon Pinot Noir or quietly gazing at the stars.

Private seating area with picnic table and chairs. Hammock. Farm animals. Loving cat.

Bring your boots! We'll happily show you around the farm. Part of the bunkhouse's charm is privacy. We like to give our guests space and not hover as hosts. But PLEASE if you have any questions, just knock on the main house door, or send us a quick email. Unless we let you know otherwise in advance, we will be present at the listing during your stay and will respond immediately.
We have lots of local tips for a unique wine country experience.

Neighbors? You'll be bunking on a beautiful farm, remote enough to be sweetly private, but not too far off the beaten path. Star gazing included.
Park your car and explore the beautiful Dundee Hills. Spend it on pinot, not the pump!

Located a mile out of town on the Worden Hill Wine trail. Park your car and leave it! Short walk up to world class wineries or down the hill to excellent eating establishments. Public bus stop with connections to PDX and McMinnville 15 min walking distance.

Excellent child care available on weekends. This is a simple farm bunkhouse. No air conditioning, but we have heat. In the summer expect warm nights with a fan. In the winter it's cozy and comfortable, but please don't expect to be sitting around in your boxer shorts.

Guest access

Please carefully read property description. Our sweet bunkhouse may not be the place for you if you need a shower, hot water, or are traveling with people you're not very comfortable around (the bathroom has a curtain for a door.) It sleeps 4, but that's one set of bunk beds and one double bed. We are very kid friendly, but not not kid safety proofed. You are responsible for your child's safety (electric space heater, stairs, bunk beds). Please no opening farm gates, unless you want to sleep with the pigs - they're very friendly, too.

What a wonderful wine getaway location! Falling asleep and waking up with a view over the vineyard was truly remarkable. Susan was a lovely host with many great recommendations. I can not rate this Airbnb experience better! Can’t wait to come back!

I have now stayed in the bunkhouse twice and the second trip did not disappoint! Susan and Wolfgang are warm, welcoming and easy to communicate with throughout your visit. It was fun to meet the pigs - particularly the newborn piglets! The bunkhouse is located immediately down the road from numerous wineries, so there's no better base for exploring wine country.

Susan's farm makes for a very memorable stay in Dundee. We bring our children and they never want to leave! They enjoy feeding the pigs, following Susan around on her morning chores on the farm and snuggling the cat. Very peaceful and beautiful with amazing views of the vineyards right out your front door. Lovely porch area for morning coffee and evening wine. You can walk to town or to several neighboring vineyards. Great places to eat near by. Comfy bed and great duvets. The place is full of charm and the host is lovely. Such a find!

The Bunk House is wonderful! Susan is a great communicator and had wonderful suggestions for things to do and wineries to visit. The farm is incredibly relaxing and hanging out with the animals was so fun. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We had a really great time at this quaint cabin on the owner's farm in Dundee. The photos are true to life, with exceptional views of the quiet surrounding hills. The cabin was comfortable and evenings were cool enough in summer that the provided fan kept us cool at night. Susan and her husband are extremely kind and welcoming, I cannot imagine nicer hosts for a great stay in Dundee. Some of the a best wineries are walking distance, and the hills are beautiful, highly recommend for a brief stay in wine country!

Happy to host guests who appreciate world class Pinot Noir, yet don't mind getting their shoes or bare feet dirty in the red hills of Dundee. Our daughters are responsible for running the bunkhouse and all proceeds help pay for their local dance and gymnastic lessons.Thank You!
