  • Peter was a great host and interesting. He met me with the key, and showed me around. The apartment is in a quiet building in a quiet neighborhood, I slept well and comfortable. Dinning is a couple blocks away on Grand and full of interesting (website hidden)-Op market 2 blocks the other way. Best breakfast is 4 blocks away on Selby St. the French Hen

  • Peter was a gracious and accomodating host. The condo was in a great location, was clean and everything was as promised. Highly recommended.

  • I had a fantastic stay at Peter's St. Paul apartment. To be honest, I was not wild about having to be in St. Paul in February, but I ended up having a great time. Between the fireplace and the varied selection of books in the apartment, I never wanted to leave! But even so, the apartment is well-located for when I needed to venture out. The pictures don't do the place justice-- I loved my stay here and highly recommend it. Thanks, Peter!

  • Peter's place is great! While it is in one of the BEST areas (hello everything you could want on Grand Street) and so much is walking distance, he also has a parking space which is so convenient. The apartment itself is comfortable and we had a ton of room.

We loved watching the Olympics by the fireplace. Also enjoyed the coffee and tea stash. The place was also very clean.

Peter was reliable, communicative, and helpful. Basically I would move in here if I could. Definitely stay here.

  • This was the perfect stay for a yoga teacher training workshop I was attending! Peter was incredibly accommodating and a very great host. Thanks!

  • Short: if you go to St Paul, stay here...period. Apartment itself, neighborhood, and Peter are all amazing.
Long: The apartment, the bedroom in particular, was nicer than I'd expected from the pics--spotless with a simple modern aesthetic. Our stay was too short to use the kitchen but it contained everything a cook could possibly want plus teas and coffees. Shower was great and I heard no noise from the other units. We were in St Paul on a record-breakingly cold day (like -20 or something?) and it was amazing to be able to get a fire going in the apartment...with the space heater provided, I actually woke up in the night feeling too warm! I didn't meet Peter but he was unbelievably nice...even called the day before our visit to say that he would understand if we couldn't make it because of the weather! (So glad we *did* make it.) Add to this that the neighborhood is the best (and seemed totally safe...not the case for all of St Paul) and was literally two blocks away from my aunt's house... = I will attempt to stay here every time I visit my relatives.

  • Peter's apartment was great, everything was exactly as he said it would be. The location is wonderful (Sweeney's only a block away!) and the building was very safe, with off-street parking very close to the door. The fireplace was awesome, especially since it was below zero almost my entire stay! I will definitely be contacting Peter next time I travel to St. Paul. Thanks again!

  • This was my first time trying Airbnb and it was a great experience. This is a very nice apartment and I loved being able to walk to the grocery store, restaurants, etc., as I didn't have a car. Peter was a gracious host. Such a nice (and affordable) alternative to a hotel!

  • Our second stay with Peter went as well as the first. A very comfortable place to stay.

  • Peter is a gracious host and was responsive to my needs. During a cold snap where temps dropped below zero, Peter checked in and brought by a space heater. I appreciated this.

Also, the condo is in a great neighborhood near an organic food market, centrally located as well. It was quiet and I slept great.

I would stay here again, thanks Peter!

About
I am an avid traveller with two decades of globe trotting under my belt. I used to only stay in hotels or hostels. However, 2010 I decided to try staying in a private residence. It was a great experience, I loved it an have never looked back. I found that the convenience, comfort and privacy of staying in an apartment trumps the sterile transactional experience of a hotel. Furthermore, I think I can make myself a better, less expensive breakfast than any hotel can offer, and enjoy it in my PJ's!
