About This Listing
A fully furnished private corner unit condo. Recently updated kitchen as well as a real wood burning fireplace.
Firewood to be provided.
The guests have access to the entire condo. There is a free washer and dryer in the basement.
I will meet you to drop off the keys and show you around. I live close by and am available if there are any questions or concerns.
Great location. A few blocks from Summit Ave which is a wonderful street for strolling. One block further is Grand Ave which is another great street for restaurants and shopping. Some notable businesses are: Ann Taylor, Starbucks, NorthFace, Pottery Barn, J Crew.... all within walking distance.
Also located a few blocks from a natural foods grocery store.
There are 3 bus lines all within a 5 minute walk. Included with a booking is a FOB for a local bike sharing program, with the nearest bike rack just a few blocks away at the grocery store.
There is cable TV and WIFI. There is also a wireless printer with which you can print from your mobile devices. (Or at least I can from my iPad and iPhone).
As they are guests in my house, I expect them to treat the property with respect as well as the other residents in the building, keeping in mind that in this building live people who are not on vacation and need to get a good nights sleep and go to work the next day.
No smoking. No loud music. All other guests who will be in the condo must be included in the booking.
Quiet, very clean, tastefully decorated, roomy and light, comfortable bed, good linens and coffee, and a real parking space in a nice neighborhood.
Peter was very communicative and accommodating.
I loved listening to the sounds of kids playing at the school across the street. I loved the free Niceride bike sharing access!
I will definitely stay here again.
I could occasionally hear the people upstairs walking around, but only during the day and I did not find it disturbing. The water pressure isn't strong, but perfectly adequate.
Peter is a welcoming and thoughtful host. The apartment is sunny, spotless and well-equipped. The location is a pedestrian-friendly blend of historic and trendsetting St. Paul. Highly recommended.
What a great experience in St. Paul! Peter greeted me upon arrival (demonstrating patience with my ever changing arrival time), and showed me everything I needed to know around the apartment. He even followed up the next day to make sure everything was going well and gave me weather updates to make sure I didn't get stuck in the rain!
As for the apartment - it's beautiful. Very clean, and everything that you need is available to you. It's spacious, with a very homey feel, and not to mention a cute fireplace that really gives that extra special touch. Peter provides tourist materials/magazines to review as well, which are very helpful.
Location-wise, the apt is in a great spot - close to the "nice ride" bike station (Peter provides a free pass, which is a lifesaver in terms of getting around!), and not a far ride to the light rail into downtown St Paul/Minneapolis. Really nice, safe neighborhood, too.
Overall, it was a great stay and I'd highly recommend the opportunity to others. Thanks Peter!
Terrific experience, loved the convenient location, the wifi, and the bike sharing.
I stayed here last year because Peter and his apt where great. Nothing has changed this year. Peter is very responsive, communication is great, the apt. is handy to eating, and shopping, it's quiet place in a quiet neighborhood. It's clean. with a comfy bed. I'll be back next year.
This was a perfect Airbnb experience. Peter was incredibly easy going and flexible. This apartment has everything one needs for a comfortable stay in a great neighborhood. The place was SPOTLESS. We loved the high quality linens--Pottery Barn towels, rugs, etc.
The location was amazing. Close to all the hot stops in St. Paul. We walked nearly everywhere and used Car2Go for longer trips. There were plenty of Car2Gos in the area, so that was really helpful.
It appears as if this unit is used primarily as a rental, so many of the details for travelers have been considered. Peter leaves coffee and tea for that first morning, before making it to the store to by supplies. Peter checked in several times via text without being intrusive.
I hope to stay next time I'm in MSP. Thanks, Peter!

About the Host, Peter
I am an avid traveller with two decades of globe trotting under my belt. I used to only stay in hotels or hostels. However, 2010 I decided to try staying in a private residence. It was a great experience, I loved it an have never looked back. I found that the convenience, comfort and privacy of staying in an apartment trumps the sterile transactional experience of a hotel. Furthermore, I think I can make myself a better, less expensive breakfast than any hotel can offer, and enjoy it in my PJ's!
