The Space

This comfortable, large private room is a 3rd floor walkup in an eclectic style brick apartment complex originally built as a tenement in 1889. It is located in Brooklyn Heights, New York City's first designated historical neighborhood. The outdoor spiral brick staircase and balconies overlooking quiet tree-lined street lead to this charming apartment with one private bedroom, one full shared bathroom and a small yet fully functional galley kitchen.

Guest Access

Amenities include:
towels and clean bedding provided;
utilities, WIFI included;
cafe, small organic grocer, restaurant and laundromat on the block;
Free unlimited tea and coffee;

Private bedroom is large and sunny, but kitchen and bathroom are small and shared with tenant (myself).

Walking distance to Atlantic Avenue with its fantastic shopping and dining, Smith and Court St which offer all the hippest restaurants in BK. Steps away from the brand new Brooklyn Bridge park and just a few blocks to the promenade for the city's best views of Manhattan's skyline! Fort Green with its flea market, fabulous bars and restaurants and Prospect Park with its farmer's market every Saturday are not too far either.

I have a few book guides to NYC available in the apartment as well as many personal recommendations.

Interaction with Guests

I live in the living room of the apartment where the private room is available, but will be at work from early morning until late in the evening.

When making an inquiry, please tell me a bit about your trip and have a profile including a photo and some information about yourself. I like to have an idea of who will be staying with me!

The Neighborhood

Beautiful historic brownstone architecture, tree-lined streets, proximity to Brooklyn Bridge Park, peaceful and quiet village type enclave in the busy city, safe, clean, not very commercial

Getting Around

Easy direct access to JFK Airport on the A-train from Jay St. Metro-Tech station;
All major subway lines connecting to anywhere in Manhattan or Brooklyn within 10min walking distance (2,3,4,5,A,C,F,Q,R)
