  • Pavo and I had limited contact but he was nice and all my needs were met! The apartment is quite small and basic but very clean. No problems!! Just know that the entrance is on a little pedestrian alley off the road (on the right!), not impossible to find but the heads up will help!

  • My friend and I were traveling through Dubrovnik and luckily came across Pavo's listing for a space to rent! The accommodations were absolutely perfect. Comfortable beds, enough room for the two of us, internet, a beautiful view, kitchen, not to mention the fact that Pavo was extremely helpful and kind!
I would definitely recommend this place for anyone staying in Dubrovnik. It was an pretty quick walk to the Old Town area, as well, which made sight-seeing very easy.
    Thanks, Pavo!

  • A very nice apartment to stay in. The bathroom was large enough and was very modern. Kitchen had all we needed to cook for ourselves, and the beds were comfortable. Good location and Pavo was a very gracious host, even giving us extra towels and a hairdryer. Thanks Pavo!

  • My experience at Pavo's flat in Dubrovnik was mixed. Let me start with the good. Pavo and his family communicated very well and were very responsive. They met me at the appropriate time, and also when I asked them to borrow an umbrella they promptly brought one over. That was very nice. The apartment itself was well furnished and really had everything one could need, such as towels, dishes, silverware, extra blankets, even sugar. There were some thoughtful touches that probably come out of the process. I also thought the location is great, but with one caveat (see below)

On the downside, the place reeked of mildew and possibly mold. If I hadn't arrived at night, without a backup plan, I probably would not have stayed there. But as it was, I was desperate. The place was not, in my opinion, in good condition to rent. It had been raining for at least two days. The bathroom seemed to be one source of the problem. The floor was always wet. I closed the door to the bathroom and left the heater (a/c unit) on, which helped but it took about 20 hours to get the air quality anywhere near what you would want to breath. I noticed that if I turned off the unit, the air quickly deteriorated again. I left my clean clothes out on a table for 30 minutes and they became damp.

It is not Pavo's fault that it rained so hard for so long, but I feel that he should have inspected the apartment beforehand and attempted to prepare it better. (For instance, applying a dehumidifier, or at least leaving the a/c unit on to dry out the place.) Also, I'm not sure what the problem is with the bathroom (is there a leak?) so perhaps it requires some attention.

Also, re: the location, it's great but the place is adjoined by two rather large graveyards, which I didn't mind at all, but I figured I should point that out for those who might be bothered by it.

Judging from the feedback left for Pavo, the place is probably fine when the weather is okay, but if it's been raining out, you may want to avoid it, particularly if you have respiratory problems.

Pavo and his family are good people, so I hope they get these issues straightened out.

  • My sister and I stayed for two nights at this great little place. The ten minute walk to Old Dubrovnic feels shorter because it is along a beautiful rugged coastal cliff line. Our hosts were great and we had a great time.

  • Great little place to stay. Pavo was really nice and was waiting for us when we arrived. Ten min walk down the hill to the old town, and close to major supermarket. Clean, quiet and great price.

  • Pavo and his family were great hosts. Lovely apartment close to the old city. Comfortable and well equipped.

  • Pavo was really kind to pick us up from the main bus station when we arrived from the airport. The apartment is clean and is a 10 to 15 minute walk to the Old Town which is great value. The only downside would be that walking back at night can be a little daunting as the area is not very well lit.

  • Great price for a basic twin room, very clean. about 15-20min walk up the hill from Pile Gate. Pavo was quick to reply, and met us on the road near the apartment (he lives in the next-door apartment). Kitchen could have done with a kettle, and we didnt have time to try the computer or tv! But all very good.
