The Space

Welcome to historic and trendy Lockeland Springs neighborhood in East Nashville, just a few miles from downtown Nashville and 15 minutes from the airport. The neighborhood is charming, with coffeehouses, restaurants, a health food store, art galleries and plenty of independently owned boutiques all within walking distance (see below for specifics). You can catch a bus to downtown a block from our house or park your car on the street in front of our house.

Our charming, updated 1910 Victorian is on desirable block within walking distance to Five Points. Beautiful hardwoods, updated kitchen, large master bath, awesome backyard great for outside dining and or rest and relaxation. The very spacious floor plan easily sleeps 6 with room for 8 if two sleep on a very comfortable wrap around sofa.

It is important to note that this is our home, we live here and our personal belongings are not removed during your visit. We have it professionally cleaned before each visit and do our best to offer the best accommodations possible but we do have dogs and the home is old so if you run into dust and or dog hair we don't want you to be surprised. We have noticed that we have lost stars on cleanliness and without any direct complaints and knowing that we always have it cleaned we felt it was important to set the dog hair/dust expectation as this is the only thing we could see that might have lost a star here and there.

  • Amy and James' home was perfect for the wedding weekend with friends in Nashville. It easily fit 6 of us and the outdoor space was really awesome for having a good chat and catching up. The rooms were comfortable and it was in the perfect part of town for walking to restaurants, bars and shops. I would totally recommend it!

  • We stayed at Amy's house for a college girls' trip. There were 8 of us and the house slept everyone comfortably, with two full baths to easily share. Amy was great about giving us recommendations in advance and the neighborhood is chock full of restaurants and little shops in walking distance. We sat out on the front porch in the morning and caught up over coffee - it was perfect.

  • We were in the market (email hidden) to stay for a girls weekend in the city of Nashville, we wanted to enjoy the downtown experience, as well as, have some time to catch up, just us girls....boy did this house deliver. Amy and James were so helpful and were always available for questions prior to staying, as well as, if we would have had any questions during out stay. The house is beautiful, warm and inviting. It's layout made it perfect for a friend reunion, with open areas to sit and chat. The neighborhood of East Nashville was great and provided us with a lot of opportunities for great meals, drinks, and shopping, all within walking distance from the house. The cab ride to hit up the Broadway honky tonks was very reasonable, $16 for 6 of us. All in all it was a great stay from start to finish and we hope they keep doing this because we all would love to come back and stay again.

  • Amy was on top of all communication with us regarding our stay and her home is adorable and spacious. The house and the neighborhood both are full of character. Great location for a quick trip downtown or for venturing to the cute restaurants and bars of east Nashville on foot.

  • We booked Amy’s place for a girls’ weekend to celebrate two 30th birthdays. We were looking for comfort and enough space for 5 girls without breaking the budget. Her house is nothing short of amazing - was extremely comfortable, impeccably cleaned, and had more than enough space for all of us. She had a few cold beers for us upon arrival and seemed to have thought of everything we might need while traveling (including shower supplies, hair dryer, safety pins, etc.)

We all had never been to Nashville before so we took a risk heading outside of downtown and man, did it pay off! East Nashville has it’s own set of bars that are a blast and only 2 blocks from Amy’s house. We were able to enjoy all that downtown Nashville had to offer and when we got a little tired, or just wanted to squeeze in one last outing before the night was over, still make it back to East Nash for some fun. It was great to have so many options.

Amy is great to work with and so accommodating – she even offered to take us to the airport!

Perhaps our only regret is that we did not spend nearly enough time enjoying the fire pit since we were so busy living it up in downtown & east Nashville. Overall, amazing hostess and we can't wait to go back!

  • What a joyful and warm home to stay in! Unlike most other AirBnB places, this is a home that people are actively staying in, which makes it so full of life and energy, and filled with the comforts of a proper home. I got to catch up on some National Geographic issues, the kitchen was well-stockedc, the beds are so comfortable. Amy even made sure each guest had toiletries, which is such a treat for us who travel light for work! If you're runner, remember to ask Amy for running routes.

About
Living in Nashville is such a treat but we love to get out and explore and we have found AirBandB to be the perfect solution to really getting to know an area and its people. We are quiet, early to bed and lead a very healthy lifestyle. Happy to share some banter but also great and keeping to our own and out of the way. Please fire away with any questions to assure that we are a good fit...
