Interaction with Guests
I try to facilitate my guests' experience without being intrusive on their privacy.
Everything about the neighborhood is good. Proximity, transportation, good restaurants, green spaces, biking, walking, running, parks and attitude.
The Candler Park MARTA train station is half a block from the Aerie Suite. The train will take you to downtown Decatur in just a couple of stops; downtown Atlanta in a few stops; the Airport; Midtown and Buckhead. The Aerie Suite comes with covered parking adjacent to the apartment.
Smoking outside the apartment is fine and ashtray is available.
Loved the Aerie both for location and comfort. All the fixtures are top-of-the-line and the wifi connection is strong and reliable. We needed extra storage space for wedding stuff and Peter was generous with his garage space. Being able to run a load of laundry was super convenient. Hope to use the Aerie again soon!
Our second stay at Peter's Aerie Suite! We got to know Candler Park a little more this time around, and had a blast. Get to know the Candler Park Market on McLendon! IT ROCKS!
This was the best of numerous Airbnb stays. The Aerie Suite is quiet, private, cozy, comfortable--especially the bed! Peter has thought of everything to make for a great stay. He greeted me upon arrival and was available in person or by phone throughout. I had a bottle of wine waiting for me and a refrigerator stocked for things for breakfast, including fresh berries. The Aerie Suite is easy walking distance to MARTA and close to good restaurants. I'll be back.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Aerie Suite for the week! It is in a great established intown neighborhood and close to everything that is worth going to in Atlanta. Everything is as pictured in the listing and accurate-- it is a fantastic, very well-equipped space that gives you the choice of eating in or out in the great Candler Park neighborhood. Our host Peter was kind and welcoming (and gracious after I accidentally broke the sugar bowl, but we replaced it with a replica) and this made for a great stay. Thanks very much to Peter and we hope to stay again soon (minus the accident of course).
Peter really thought of everything to make us feel welcomed. From a bottle of cabernet and the variety of snacks to the local publications and tips to the bathroom essentials and mints on our pillow, we could tell that Peter finds joy in hosting guests. He paid attention to every detail, and we were most definitely impressed. Peter was an excellent communicator - checking in periodically, but also giving us privacy to enjoy our trip.
The apartment itself is fantastic. The space is used very efficiently, is decorated nicely and is surrounded by a beautiful courtyard area. Parking is very convenient in the covered carport/arbor below.
We were in town for a wedding and needed to use our car for the festivities, but we usually like to travel by public transportation. This apartment is very convenient to MARTA (two houses away) in a beautiful quiet neighborhood with lots of nice restaurants and shops within walking distance. Highly recommended!
Peter's aerie suite was the perfect spot for our 36 hours in atlanta. The unit and location were exactly as described. We enjoyed an easy walk to little five point as well as easy access to MARTA to visit downtown. The suite itself very comfortable, we sat in the garden for dinner our first night and watched Eat, Pray, Love from the video collection that evening. Atlanta doesn't seem so far and so impossible to get around now, we will be back!
The Aerie Suite is a gem! Just as described, it is snug, cozy, and private, nestled in the enclosed backyard of a restored bungalow home in the beautiful Candler Park neighborhood of Atlanta. The kitchen/living area is very comfortable with state-of-the-art appliances and entertainment options. Peter thoughtfully left a bottle of wine and breakfast foods as well. The bedroom is small, but adequate -- looking out on open space with MARTA on the next block. Very convenient and no bothersome noise. The suite was very clean and well-maintained. Parking is conveniently located below the suite. Our only regret was that we were so busy touring that we didn't get to visit more with Peter! We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Atlanta and look forward to staying in the Aerie Suite again!

Born in Argentina, grew up in Switzerland and Atlanta resident since 1975; retired attorney; single dad of grown and young children; professional mediator of commercial disputes. I split my time between my circa 1900 "shotgun" house here in Atlanta and a cabin in the North Carolina mountains. I enjoy motorcycling and solo traveling almost anywhere - with particular focus on on the old "Eastern Bloc"; hiking and alternative lodging. I hope to provide the same kind of experience and amenities in the Aerie Suite that I appreciate when traveling.
