Very large (c 1100 sq ft) architect-designed loft apartment in Castlefield, Manchester city centre.
It has a great feeling of space, guests often comment. It's also very close to Man Utd football ground, and a little further on, Old Trafford cricket ground. The Manchester City ground is easily accessible by metro (light rail). Walking distance to all the main attractions (Manchester isn't a big city, so nowhere is that far away from anywhere else).

The first of award-winning developers Urban Splash' 'design your own' apartment initiatives, every one of Box Works' apartments is completely unique. My apartment was designed by Urban Splash' own in-house architects.
In a converted warehouse with original industrial architecture (original brickwork and girders etc.) and modern fitments - including free-standing cubic glass bathroom - it has two large double bedrooms, one en suite. 2nd bedroom with balcony overlooking canal inlet with water lillies (!).
Two double bed sofas in main room mean it will accomodate 8 people at a push, but I'd recommend 3-6 as the ideal numbers.
Double glazed with solid wood floors and underfloor heating throughout. I have used the apartment for supper clubs (pop-up dining)*, so the kitchen is equipped pretty much to catering standards with three ovens and plenty of pans, crockery and cutlery, dishwasher, fridge etc.
Cable TV and wifi. 50" plasma tv, radio and docking station for playing music from iphones/ipads etc
The apartment is basically at the edge of the city centre, and all parts of the city are easily accessible by the canal towpath which passes directly in front of the apartment. Metro/mainline train stations are within 10 minutes' walk for connections to Manchester airport and rail travel.
Castlefield is one of the oldest parts of Manchester with a number of well-preserved Roman remains just a short distance from the apartment. The Museum of Science and Industry is also close by. There are bars and cafes within a 100 metres, and within 5 minutes' walk any number of cafes, bars, pubs and restaurants.
You walk pretty much out of the apartment into the city, but when you want peace and quiet after a long day (and nights!), enjoying Manchester, the apartment provides as much peace and seclusion as you might need.
Secure parking for up to 2 cars is available in The Box Works underground car park for £10 per car per day, by prior arrangement.
* I am also able to offer private dining at the apartment by prior arrangement - which makes it perfect for intimate get togethers, birthday or anniversaries or post-football/cricket celebrations. This was a great apartment to stay in for a friends hen do. 6 of us stayed overnight although more of were at the apartment in the afternoon and had a great time. The sofa beds were comfy and there was ample cooking facilities. The only thing missing was a freezer for some ice! We did get taxis into town (due to people wearing heels!) but it's not at all to walk up Deansgate and into the city centre. I'd definitely recommend it as a place to stay and Phil was easily contactable to help organise everything, including underground secure parking. Thanks very much!

Needed a laid back place for some work colleagues to stay after a company day out/night out in Manchester and Phil's place was perfect. Perfectly located (5mins walking distance from Castlefield and a great pub call The Wharf. and perfectly equipped (two double beds and two comfy fold outs). Phil was very accommodating as well, meeting us a little earlier than usual and leaving us some decent coffee to kick start the day. Will definitely have this place in mind for the next trip up north. O
This apartment is perfectly situated for a stay in Manchester at just a 10-15 minute walk into the city centre. There is plenty of space inside (we were a party of 8) and all the facilities are up to a high standard - we would definitely stay again!
A group of us stayed overnight for a friends hen do! The apartment is huge and very comfortable, it has everything you need and is in a very good location to easily get to the city centre. During the day I held a vintage afternoon tea party event in the apartment which easily accommodated the 16 people that attended. Phil was really helpful with letting us have earlier access to the apartment and he is very quick and helpful in responding to your questions and messages! I would definitely stay here again and would recommend Phil and his beautiful apartment to anyone.
Great apartment which was well-equipped, light, airy and clean. Phil was an excellent host who went out of his way to accommodate our needs. Communication prior to our stay was very efficient with fast responses. Would recommend this apartment unreservedly.
