  • We can just repeat what the predecessors wrote. We had 5 wonderful weeks at the apartment and we loved it. The time will be unforgettable, because of this apartment.

Its wonderful to come in this wonderful rooms. They are absolute clean, well equiped, nice furnished and well-lit by the sunlight through the large windows. It has everything you need, no matter if in the kitchen, the living room, bedroom or bathroom.

Its also a wonderful and calm neighbourhood, you have laundrys, shops and restaurants around. You wake up with sunlight and singing birds, not with police hooter or other noise like in Manhattan. But its still just a 5min walk to the subway and from there its another 20min to downtown NYC. Allison was a perfect host and staying at this apartment let us feel like beeing New Yorker!

  • We just LOVED!!! our staying in New York & it will stay unforgettable mainly because of Allison's apartment. The apartment is just like on the photos. But when you enter it - you'll stay speechless! It is even more beautiful than on the photos! It is a huge apartment! The kitchen is equipped with any imaginary device you'll need, the towels in the bathroom are super soft & smell like a piece of heaven and the bed is just the same: soft, clean, fresh & there are 3 types of pillows to choose from!

Allison was a perfect host; she welcomed us (& organised a taxi for us upon our arrival) & explained us everything. She recommended us a little restaurant in the neighbourhood (some mins away from the flat) & every morning we had the most delicious breakfast there. The apartment & it's interior are a pure reflection of Allison's love to art & creating, crafting & making a paradise in the heart of Brooklyn. We were lucky to wake up on a sunny day & see the sun just pouring over the kitchen & living room early in the morning! So magical!

The location of the flat was really perfect for us: it is outside of the crazy Manhattan, but still very easily reachable at any part of the day. The subway is just a walk away (some 10 mins) down the main street. Also, getting with a taxi is very easy. It's about 20 USD to get to heart of Manhattan from the flat.
The neighbourhood is really wonderful & calm. We saw some people in the morning on our way for the breakfast & they said "good morning" as if we've been knowing each other for years. We are just so happy to have been able to live like a "real" New Yorker does and Allison's flat will definitely be our place to come back again! Thank you Allison.

  • I don't think that the words sunny and stylish do any justice to this apartment - it's simply beautiful and makes you feel like home immediately. We spent 10 days in this apartment and really enjoyed our stay. It's located in a nice residential area with good connections to Manhattan and Williamsburg. Allison was a great host and she recommended us some very nice places nearby as well. I would recommend this apartment to all my friends and would definitely go back any day! It offers you the perfect insight to Brooklyn living which I am sure you're looking for when considering renting a place in this area!

About
I live in beautiful, historical Bedford-Stuyvesant and am a lover of all things Brooklyn. I work as an art director for a book publishing company and enjoy designing just about everything. I also enjoy running and biking through the city. I live in a brownstone that was built around 1899. I appreciate the character of old houses that have touches of modern design. So my space is an eclectic mix of old and new.
