Guest Comments (As we are new with airbnb.ca, we are including excerpts from previous guests’ comments here):

“It really was a Bella Vista from our breakfast patio table, reminding me of home in Ireland. I would highly recommend this little piece of heaven tucked away in the Blue Mountains.”

“Beautiful place to stay. Comfortable and quiet. The management is very pleasant and helpful in giving direction. Definitely recommend this place. Thanks so much!”

“I slept better on this bed than my own at home! In the main floor bedroom and bath, I could use my walker easily, and I had plenty of space to comfortably relax in the bright sunny atrium. As a senior with mobility issues, it's challenging to travel safely and without fear. In fact, I rarely travel away from the familiarity of my own home. Now I know I'll have nothing to worry about the next time I visit. Thanks again, Irene, for making me feel like I can travel to see my family and opening my horizons!”

“We stayed at Bella Vista for 5 nights. We had ample and comfortable living quarters. Can't say enough good things.”

“At Bella Vista Country House the views of Georgian Bay and shoreline are spectacular. The atmosphere is pleasant and inviting, the rooms clean and comfortable. A getaway experience to nurture the mind, body and soul.”

“Both comfortable and inviting. The location is absolutely magnificent and very convenient for anything you'd want to do in the area. Lots of privacy and a charming hostess. I would go again anytime.”

  • We had a great stay at Irene's Bella Vista. The place is just what we needed, with a comfortable spacious room and big windows with a breath taking view. The place was very clean and had all the comforts of home, Every piece of furniture and accessories were perfectly appointed to create a cozy and comfortable atmosphere.I absolutely love the fireplace and spent some time sitting in front of it on the sofa after our eventful trip to the Blue Mountains.

The next day, Irene had fruits, coffee/tea, and great homemade breakfast set for us and we love it.

Irene was extremely efficient at returning my e-mails and making sure I was in the place safe and sound. She was available when I needed her but gave us the space. She is an excellent host and I would definitely come back to her place again.

  • Me and my boyfriend stayed at Bella Vista for the night of New Years/Birthday and it could not be better! The place is very conveniently located only 25 min away from the Blue Mountain, but it is definitely worth the drive.Bella Vista has breathtaking scenery and is a perfect place for nature lovers.Even before we arrived to the place Irene gave us easiest directions to get there. She even collaborated with my great boyfriend and prepared a birthday surprise : flowers, cake, candles and a fruit plate for our arrival. The room we stayed in was everything we could wish for: a fireplace, separate washroom/shower, huge comfy bed, tons of space delicious morning breakfast and a great hostess - Irene.
I would recommend Bella Vista to anyone who comes to comes to spend an unforgettable time on the Blue Mountain resort.

  • Our stay at Bella Vista couldn't have been more perfect!

Even before we arrived and were grappling with GPS issues, Irene was sending us the perfect directions to get to her place! The room was immaculate and ENORMOUS, with the comfiest bed.

All of our meals were delicious, and cooked up expertly with wholesome, field-fresh ingredients. Irene answered all of our questions about the region, suggested numerous fun things to do and see, all of which proved to be exactly what we were looking for.

I highly recommend Bella Vista to anyone visiting the region. Great location, beautiful rooms, delicious meals, and an absolutely lovely hostess.

About
With Bella Vista Country House, we have created the form of accommodation that we prefer when travelling: a home away from home that acts as a base for exploring the locale; the flexibility to cook our own meals when we want if we choose; and meeting new interesting people who share our interests... while still having the ability to have quiet time in our own private space. We have created the family room and dormitory rooms because we believe that travel should be affordable and practical for everyone, regardless of income or size of travel party. We have a special interest in health and wellness. The food we prepare is all-natural and homemade where possible, with vegan, dairy-free, and gluten-free options available. The cleaning products we use are good for the environment as much as possible, and we encourage our guests to recycle and compost. At Bella Vista, we've hosted wellness-related workshops/retreats on topics like Yoga and Meditation, "Power of the Mind", "Law of Attraction", Mind-body Connection, and Psychotherapy. Please let us know if you're interested in either attending one or using Bella Vista as your next venue. Music is very important to us, whether it is playing guitar by the bonfire, playing all genres of recorded music, or simply humming a tune. We also know that music comes in all forms, including hearing the crickets and frogs at night, the birds in the morning, or the rustling of the leaves. Our lovely area makes its own music that is a soothing and peaceful accompaniment to the glorious views of our surroundings. We never get tired of seeing it and we're sure you won't either. As hosts, you'll find us attentive and helpful, yet casual. We're here if you want to talk with us or ask questions, but we also respect your need for privacy and quiet. Our Favourite Travel Experience: Hiking with a multi-national group along the alternative path of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu: meeting many new people; staying at little hostels along the way (some in private rooms, some in dormitories, one with chickens in the other part of the house!); soaking in the hot springs at Santa Teresa (in total darkness with only the mass of stars as our light) after a grueling 11 hour hike; and... making it to the end! Our Most Awe-inspiring --and Humbling-- Travel Experience: Standing on the trail above Machu Picchu, looking out over the magnificence of the ruins and the sea of mountain tops stretching as far as the eye could see. We hope that we can help you create similar memories of your visit to Canada!
