What an amazing tranquil spot! This cozy studio was surrounded by trees. A very relaxing break from NYC. Good coffee was supplied along with some yogurt, granola and fruit for breakfast. Scott was a great host. I would definitely stay here again!
My fiancé and I stayed here during a wedding weekend we were attending in Amagansett, which was a 12 minute drive to the venue. This private studio was just the perfect space we needed. We were worried that we'd be bothersome because we arrived around midnight, but we were able to self check in and take hot showers before getting into the comfy bed. The studio itself is quite spacious with a small couch, cushy chair, table with chairs, dresser, and coat rack with hangers. The generous windows and strung lights made the space feel very welcoming and home-y. The bathroom had all the basic essentials (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, full sized and face towels) and was very clean. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay
My husband and I stayed in the studio last weekend and had a lovely stay. The space was very comfortable and had everything we needed (including a coffeemaker and mini-fridge stocked with breakfast yogurt and fruit). The grounds and location are beautiful, as well -- a short drive from the beach and town. Thank you for the great stay!
Even better than it looks in the photos! My friend and I stayed here and really loved it. It was nice to be away from the city and wake up to a peaceful quiet morning. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed leaving the windows open and having fresh air and sunlight. I also loved the little coffee nook with a mini fridge stocked with some water, milk, and yogurt for us in the morning. A beautiful space with a really thoughtful host. It was like staying in an actual B and B. :)
When we arrived the space was clean and organized. There was a welcome sheet on the table with all the needed contact and wifi information. There is a mini fridge with breakfast snacks, coffee, milk, and bottled water was included as well. I tend to be a germaphobe and was pleased with how clean the bathroom is. In the bathroom you'll find deliciously scented all natural body wash and a relaxing lavender scented shampoo and condition. All the towels you need are provided in cute wicker baskets, like at a spa retreat.
The hospitality was great! Communicating with Scott was easy. I sent Scott a message asking about different places to eat in the area and he was quick to respond with some great suggestions. One of which was, John's Burger drive-in that has amazing home made ice cream! Well worth it! We got a little cold in the evening and there was already a space heater in the room. The next day, they left out an extra blanket for us, which we wound up not needing because Scott was kind enough to tell us to use the floor heat.
Everything was thought of. All this, together with a cozy get away spot that's nicely nestled in nature and very close to the sound. You don't even need to leave the space to feel relaxed. You can sit in the well arranged comfy Zen-like space and either just listen to the sounds of nature or even watch it all through the big sliding glass window/doors that overlook the back yard which has a fire-pit you can use. We didn't, but that doesn't mean we can't next time.
*HINT* Drive to the end of the main road and you'll get to a nice rocky end point where you can sit and watch the sun set and see ginormous swans that will get out the water and walk toward you if they think you have food. It's pretty breathtaking.
We enjoyed staying there for Labor Day, very nice and quite place!
After a tiring, 6-mile bike ride, I arrived to what appeared like a heavenly oasis. The spacious loft space Scott and Adele redid was adorn with beautiful Christmas lights, a stocked mini-fridge with snacks and water, and a welcoming relaxed atmosphere. I was looking for a short get-away from the city, and this place really did the trick. Time goes more slowly when relaxed and in nature, I've found, and I was able to spend some needed time to pause and reflect. During the day, I biked to a nearby grocery to eat and then a beach, all within 15-20 minutes of riding. I highly recommend Scott's place for anyone seeking a comfortable nature escape!
