Our home is located in an adorable and safe neighborhood in East Memphis. Less than 10 minutes from Midtown and 15 from downtown, it's the perfect place to stay. Enjoy a queen bed in one of our 3 bedrooms and your own private bathroom.
Hi Friends!! Our home in High Point Terrace can comfortably host as many as many as 6 people of the same party! We have three separate bedrooms two of which have comfortable, plush queen sized beds. One has a blow up queen mattress. There is one private bathroom.
Our home is beautiful decorated with southern charm. Exposed brick, an open floor plan, natural lighting, a large sectional sofa, and Pottery Barn linens are all things you we think make our home comfortable and unique.

Guests will have access to their private bedroom and bathroom. They will also have access to our wireless internet and our community spaces such as the living room and kitchen. There is a spacious front yard and fenced in backyard. Our casa es su casa!

Interaction with Guests
Though we are busy ourselves with dental school and work, we very much enjoy getting to know our guests. Our dog, Bentley, loves to interact with guests, but we will give as much space as our guests desire.
Our neighborhood, although quiet and quaint, is always teeming with folks walking their dogs, families biking the streets, or friends catching up on their front lawn. We are situated two blocks from the popular Greenline trail where you can burn off the calories from all that Memphis fare! We are also a half mile from a neighborhood grocer, pizza place, sandwich shop, and local pub. A short 10 minute drive will get you to the popular midtown area that is full of bars, hip restaurants, and unique shopping. If the nightlife and fabulous restaurants of downtown is more your scene, we are only 15 minutes away from there as well. Have the best of both worlds with a safe, quiet neighborhood that's 15 minutes from everything (including the airport).
If you don't have a car yourself, taxis* are the easiest way to get around. If you make it downtown there is a trolley line that runs through the heart of the downtown area.
Sam Cooper Blvd. is very close allowing for quick access to the Memphis area. Otherwise, let us know and we can try to help you out with a ride as our schedule permits.
*If you don't have a car, we recommend Uber or Lyft (you know, staying with the sharing economy theme...)
Other Things to Note
We love recommending all of our favorite places and spaces. Heck, we may even get a hankering for adventure and want to join along!
Since Jeff is a full time student and Julie works from 8-5 please be patient as we try to work with your schedule upon check-in.
Most people seem to care for our place anyway, but to that one person who makes things a bit more difficult, keep reading!
Please clean up after yourself when cooking in our kitchen, leave your luggage on the floor or luggage rack (not on the beds), and keep the smoking outside. Overall, we just ask that you care for our place like you would your own.
Although Bentley (our pup) does well with other dogs, it's easier on everybody if we don't allow pets (sorry Fido).
I don't think Terry and I could say enough nice things about Julie and Jeff and not to forget Bently their dog! We had probably the best nights stay on our whole trip. They made us feel very welcomed and secure. Half way to our next destination I realized I forgot our left overs, sorry
Great hosts. Beautiful home. Super cool it was like having my own wing of the house.
Jeff and Julie were wonderful, and their home is lovely. They were such good hosts, we loved our short trip to Memphis. We highly recommend this place. The suburb is good and well located, a short drive to downtown and other great areas.
My daughter and I had a lovely 3 night stay with Jeff and Julie. They couldn't have been more hospitable and welcoming. The room is charming, the bed is comfortable, the accommodations are well-appointed and inviting. The hosts have thought of everything, including a collection of local treats and bottled !water in our room upon arrival. They know the city well and offer excellent recommendations for dining and attractions. When I texted them during the day to ask where to go to watch the sunset over the Mississippi River they were quick to respond.
We will definitely return!
Once again, a convenient and pleasant stay.
Lock boos on the front door was a great idea. Thanks.
Julie and Jeff are such gracious hosts. Before we arrived they provided us with fabulous information about things to do in Memphis and a list of great restaurants. We found this list to be very helpful. Their home is nicely furnished and we had everything a traveller could need. It was a quick trip from their home to downtown.
Thanks Julie and Jeff for renting us your two lovely rooms. Everything was just perfect, and the location was very suitable for our program in Memphis.
Hello! We are Jeff, Julie, and Bentley (woof).
We are 27 year olds who love Memphis! Julie, born and raised in Memphis, works full time for a family business where she is lucky enough to bring her pup, Bentley, to work every day. Jeff, a native Nashvillian, is a full time student in dental school at the UT Health Science Center. Between the two of them, they can recommend the best restaurants, museums, parks, coffee shops, BBQ joints, attractions, YOU NAME IT, that Memphis has to offer.
They are travel junkies! During college, Julie spend a semester in Granada, Spain and got to see all the amazing things Spain and other parts of Europe have to offer. She loved it so much, she and Jeff went back to Europe for a month over Christmas in 2013! They are also outdoorsy people who always prefer to be outside. Jeff spent 4 months hiking the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine after undergraduate school. Overall, he has visited 41 states. Julie needs to catch up!
Some of their other interests include: DIY projects around the house, frequenting the dog park (Bentley's favorite), brunch, maps, antique furniture, the Memphis Grizzlies, music, documentaries, but mostly we enjoy being together, being active, and eating good food to make up for it!
Our favorite part about hosting is getting to know new people. We have been a part of the Airbnb community for over a year now and have enjoyed every minute of it! We love our home and think you will too! Hope we get the opportunity to host you.
