Our home is situated in an adorable and safe neighborhood in Memphis. Located a quarter mile from walking trails and 10-15 minutes from downtown, it's the perfect place to stay. Relax in a comfy queen bed and enjoy your own private bathroom.
Hi Friends!! We have just moved into our new home located in High Point Terrace. The best part is now we can host as many as 4 people of the same party! We have two separate bedrooms both of which have comfortable, plush queen sized beds. There is one private bathroom.
Our space is decorated nicely with comfort being of utmost priority. We want our house to feel homey and relaxed. You will find soft towels, fresh linens, and cozy bedding.
We hope you will love our new home as much as we do.
Guests will have access to their private bedroom and bathroom. They will also have access to our wireless internet and our community spaces such as the living room and kitchen. There is a spacious front yard and fenced in backyard with patio furniture if you choose to enjoy that. Our casa es su casa!
Though we are busy ourselves with dental school and work, we very much enjoy getting to know our guests. Our dog, Bentley, loves to interact with guests, but we will give as much space as our guests desire.
Our neighborhood, although quiet and quaint, is always teeming with folks walking their dogs, families biking the streets, or friends catching up on their front lawn. We are situated a quarter mile from the popular Greenline trail where you can walk, run, bike, rollerblade, etc. We are also a half mile from a neighborhood grocer, pizza place, sandwich shop, and local pub. A short 10 minute drive will get you to the popular midtown area that is full of bars, hip restaurants, and unique shopping. But if the nightlife and fabulous restaurants of downtown is more your scene, we are only 15 minutes away from there as well.
If you don't have a car yourself, taxis are the easiest way to get around. If you make it downtown there is a trolley line that runs through the heart of the downtown area.
Sam Cooper Blvd. is very close allowing for quick access to the Memphis area. Otherwise, let us know and we can try to help you out with a ride as a schedule permits.
We love recommending all of our favorite places and spaces. Heck, we may even get a hankering for adventure and want to join along!
Julie and Jeff were excellent hosts and the room/bed was divine! I haven't slept that well in a long time. The neighborhood is gorgeous and conveniently located, and Julie and Jeff made an incredibly useful printout with a map and recommended spots for our visit, which was both thoughtful and handy. What's more, Julie has lived in Memphis for some time and is a great resource for the Memphis-curious visitor. Any traveller to Memphis would do well to stay here.
Staying with Julie and Jeff was great! They were very quick to respond to any emails and questions prior to our arrival. This was our first Airbnb experience, so we weren't sure what to expect. They were very kind upon our arrival making us feel welcomed. The house was cute and the room and private bath very clean. The bed was comfortable and spacious! There was a mirror in the bedroom, which was very beneficial for two girls who had to get ready at the same time. We highly recommend their place.
Over all it was a great experience!
A lovely place to hang your hat in Memphis! Nice location... comfy bed. We only had one night in town, but would stay here again next time, for sure.
Julie and Jeff's home is very lovely and welcoming. Their hime is in a nice area of Memphis, a short drive to everything (restaurants, music, shops and museums). Their are very welcoming hosts, and the house is really clean and cozy. The room is big with a nice comfortable bed, and a nice private bathroom. They are also excellent hosts, very nice and friendly. If you have a chance to visit Memphis, Julie and Jeff would be a great place to stay.
P.s. Bentley you are a great dog and don't let anyone tell you different.
Julie and Jeff are amazing hosts and we want thanks them for having us stay in their beautiful home. Everything was clean and cosy and they made us feel very welcome and were happy to recommend (excellent) places to eat/get coffee/go running/shop etc. The house is really nice and the room as well (as in the pictures). Excellent hosts.
We were so happy to find Jeff and Julie in Memphis, They live in a convenient, safe neighborhood with a peaceful home and perfect accommodations. They were so helpful with area information and dinner recommendations. Could not have been a more pleasant stay.
Julie was incredibly friendly, and the house was lovely. It's nearby a great jogging trail and not too far from downtown. I doubt you'll ever find better accommodation than here!
Julie and Jeff are amazing hosts and we sincerely thank them for having us stay in their beautiful home. Everything was clean and luxuriously cosy and they made us feel very welcome and were happy to recommend (excellent) places to eat/get coffee/go running/shop etc. We loved Memphis and this probably has a lot to do with our fantastic air bnb experience.
I stayed with Julie & Jeff for 4 nights in Memphis. They are calm, friendly, and considerate people who helped me be comfortable in their home seemingly effortlessly. When I asked if there was room in their fridge for me to put some food they cleared a whole shelf for me! Yeah! I slept well in a very comfortable room. When my cell phone wasn't working Jeff let me use his until I got mine back on track. They communicate easily, pleasantly, and right on time. A very good experience over all.
I've been using Airbnb for a year now and am yet to have a bad experience. While just about everyone has been a good host, Julie & Jeff raised the bar a few notches! It was especially impressive because me and my wife arranged a booking very last minute and were only looking to stay for one night, yet we got a prompt response and when we arrived that evening everything was immaculately presented.
First and foremost, we wanted to book with them because their listing said they were in a safe neighborhood, which was very important since we know Memphis on the whole does not have the greatest reputation when it comes to safety/crime. We typically alternate between hotels and using Airbnb on our trips. Being unfamiliar with Memphis, we did not want to unknowingly book a hotel in a bad area so we thought staying in a host home through Airbnb would be a better option in terms of finding a safe area to stay in. Our main reason for coming to Memphis was to visit Graceland and their house was about 20-25 minutes away, but distance wasn't an issue especially since the area around Graceland itself is somewhat grim and we wanted to be sleeping someplace safe. Their house is indeed in a very quiet, safe neighborhood and we felt totally comfortable leaving our car parked on the street overnight.
My wife and I had our hands full of luggage on arrival and Jeff was very kind to take my wife's suitcase to the bedroom for her. We got a great recommendation from them for pulled pork dinner at Central BBQ which wasn't too far away. Apparently Julie and Jeff have only been hosting people through Airbnb for a short time but you wouldn't know it because they provide such a quality experience. Even with a dog living there, the house was practically spotless. There was a sheet of paper with visitor's info waiting on the bedroom nightstand and the bed was extremely comfortable providing a wonderful night's sleep. The bath towels they provided were hotel quality. WIFI was excellent.
Going back through all my Airbnb stays (14 of them so far), I'd rank Julie and Jeff in the top 3 when taking into consideration price, location, quality/cleanliness, safety, communication and hospitality. My wife even said that she wished the hotel rooms we had stayed in earlier on our road trip (which cost more money) were as nice as Julie and Jeff's accommodation and guest bedroom. Can't say enough good things about them!
This is the final rate, including any fees from the host and Airbnb.
